My Blood Dad is dying in great pain.
He has broken his hip the 3rd time. His vitals are too poor to operate.
They don't even know if they can move him at all due to the great pain.
He has reportedly made his peace with God and forgiven everyone.
Please pray that he graduates from this life as painlessly and quickly as The Lord would wish for him.
Sigh. BIG SIGH.
This is mother's birthday and the day her father died.
Sigh.
I know some prayer threads are in this forum. If this is not fitting, please move it where it is.
I'm more than a little discomboobalated.
Thanks in advance for all the prayers and caring so typical of all of you.
THX TONS AND TONS.
May God repay you 10 times over—all who pray so thoughtfully.
Still thinking and praying for your dad.
t.
VERY GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Your prayers are having an impact for good. YEA!
YEA GOD.
THANKS MORE THAN WORDS CAN EXPRESS.
The update is just above.
Evening prayer bump for Dad..
THANKS TONS.
He did better today on his breathing.
He’s still not eaten or drank anything.
His rationality seems to be in and out.
Evidently Uncle D had a more substantive conversation with him about the Lord the last 24 hours or so than I was aware of. PRAISE GOD FOR THAT.
He’s on liquid morphine every 2 hours.
THANKS TONS FOR ALL Y’ALL’S PRAYERS. They are having an effect.
BLESS YOU ALL EACH ONE.
You are welcome and he remains in my prayers. What is your father’s name.
THANKS TONS FOR YOUR PRAYERS.
You can pray for him with “Andy.”
It was his name but he hated it and never used it.
I just got off the phone with my other step-sis. The one who teased me mercilessly the Christmas I met her when I was in college and she was in high school, pregnant. LOL. When I’d gather the courage to tease her back a bit she’d say: “You’re getting ridiculous, you’d better go to bed.” LOL.
Anyway—Dad’s ears have evidently started the characteristic curl and the “death rattle” breathing has begun. She’s expecting today will be his last. He’s not on any fluids or nutrients whatsoever.
Lady Doc, what’s your perspective on 0.00% hydration in the final days/hours?
I trust my siblings. Dad would have made known his preferences emphatically on such scores. But I’ve always thought some level of hydration was more merciful. Or occasional ice chips in the mouth. But I don’t know.
He’s still on the liquid morphine every 2 hours. He’s evidently in and out rationally, mentally.
THANKS TONS TO ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS. GREATLY GREATLY APPRECIATED. I’m utterly confident they are making a significant difference.
For some reason he may still be fighting it. He’s confessed, repented, owned Jesus as His Savior and forgiven everyone . . . so he’s spiritually ready . . . sad that he’s still fighting in his state.
Sigh.
I pray that God will by His Spirit bring Dad a PEACE and LEAD HIM to Christ’s Heavenly Side.
THANKS ALL. Sigh.

Thank you so much for keeping us informed, dear brother in Christ! Prayers continue...
My Mom was on an IV during her last days, which apparently supplied sufficient hydration....ice chips, etc., were a strict hospital no-no; I suppose given her conditions of pneumonia and congestive heart failure.
THANKS TONS.
Greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your input on the IV.
I don’t think Dad would support prolonged enduring such a state. And maybe that’s the issue with hydration. I don’t know.
And, my concern with hydration was some degree of increased discomfort without it. However, I suppose the same morphine dealing with the horrific pains of the bone breaks etc. would take care of that sort of discomfort, too.
LORD, PLEASE HAVE MERCY and send your angels to lead him by the hand into your Presence IN YOUR PEACE, PLEASE.
In Jesus’ Name.
Amen.
In Jesus Name,
AMEN!
YOUR PRICELESS CARING PRAYERS mean soooo much to me and to Dad at this crucial transition time.
BIG THINGS

I was walking in your shoes, almost two years ago...
I thank YOU for sharing with us, the Homegoing of YOUR Dad.
We’re all, each of us reading this, witnessing a miracle. May his work on earth be finished now...may he go Home to his Savior’s open arms....
YOUR thoughtful discerning words touch me DEEPLY.
PRAISE GOD.
Yes, I believe God is effecting His miracles in my Dad’s life in this transition—in significant part due to the prayers of PRECIOUS FREEPERS of all Christian (and Jewish) groups.
I believe that the struggle, pain, protracted nature—something Dad would have far from chosen were he in charge—I believe all that is being used as a refiner’s fire by The Master Refiner in order for Dad to have a better role in eternity.
The breaking, humbling, loss of control etc. stuff is very hard on someone with his mentality, personality and disposition. Nevertheless, he has known that being conformed to the image of Christ is no light matter.
THANKS TONS DEAR SISTER.
When my Father passed in 1994 there was no FR. Dad was a fighter, even in the end. He held on for 18 days before he let go. It was very hard on all of us.
When Mother passed in 2008, she was lifted in FReeper Prayer. Her passing was so gentle the only indication we had was the flat line on the screen.
In my heart I see all these FReeper Prayers as a cloud gently lifting your Dad and carrying Him Home.
I pray for Peace for you.
I FIERCELY AND THOROUGHLY AGREE.
Thanks for putting it so eloquently!
God’s best to all who pray and to all their loved ones.
What up?
1. 3rd hip breakage and a heart attack Sunday.
2. Vital signs all crashed horribly.
3. At this point, his ears have started curling and the “death rattle” breathing is heard more and more. He’s not expected to last another 24-48 hours.
4. Mercifully, his missionary Brother has insured that he’s repented, made things right with God and forgiven others. He should be all set to graduate from this life but seems to be holding on for some reason. Possibly fear.
Anyway—Thanks for your caring, asking and prayers.
LUB BRO.
PRAYERS for you and . . .
God keep you and your dad.
THANKS TONS.
I Greatly appreciate your priceless prayers and caring.
May God return to you 10 fold in His provision, intimacy, Peace, Hope, Joy, Guidance, and protection.
