Is this the scariest job in the world?
Seven minutes of pure Hell (and I'm just talking about watching this -- my knees are still wobbly!)
However much they pay these guys, it's not enough!

I saw that a few years ago, and it’s STILL the scariest video I’ve ever seen. My wife is scared of heights, and I’m not. She would describe a feeling in the back of her legs that she gets when she approaches a ledge. I thought she was exaggerating until I saw this video. I get the same feeling watching it on my computer. It’s awful. I can’t imagine seeing it on a large screen TV, or an IMAX theatre. And of course, actually doing it is simply out of the question.

There's an episode of World's Toughest Fixes that has Sean Riley climbing up a 2000ft tower to help replace an antenna segment.
Pretty scary job.

I would be frozen to that pole until I died. You might as well parachute off.

If you want to get over your fear of heights, take up rock climbing. Force yourself to overcome your fears.

In ancient times, my brother and I built a tree house 40 feet up a big maple - heights didn’t bother us then but this video is spooky.

I couldn’t watch it either, it made me queasy.
I asked my husband if he could do it and he said no. So I asked “if you had to or we starved, could you?” and he still said no. Hope he never has to make that choice.

My hubby would be appalled, but that looks really neato. I'd love to do that if I were younger and thinner, LOL! I'm not the slightest bit afraid of heights.
Thanks for the ping, Slings.

You’re welcome.
BTW, it’s not the heights that worry me, it’s the fall...specifically, that sudden stop at the end.

That pesky abrupt stop is a problem if you don’t hang on well enough, certainly. But it’s still a lot of fun to be that high without drugs.
