Rosie O’Donnell has one big regret.

Days before the launch of “The Rosie Show” on the struggling OWN network, the controversial talk-show host says she is still kicking herself over a famous, televised ambush of Tom Selleck.

“In hindsight, if I had to redo [it], I would do it differently,” she admits.

He is “a kind man, who, for the rest of his life, has to be associated with me and that one event.”

"He is “a kind man, who, for the rest of his life, has to be associated with me and that one event.”

For the rest of HIS life? Dream on, Rosie. We assure you, there's more to the man's television and film legacy than that little blip on the radar involving your attack. Now, with you-on the other hand-it's a different story.

When I think of Tom Selleck, the first thought which pops into my mind isn't your cowardly sucker punch. Westerns and Magnum P.I. come to mind.

It's not polite to say what first pops into my mind when I think of Rosie O'Donnell.

Ever since she started flaunting her gayness her numbers have dwindled.

I actually watched that encounter. Tom Selleck had a sucker punch of his own when he asked Rosie whether or not her bodyguards carried firearms. Rosie stammered, than replied with some lame, “...I need security...” line. Selleck reminded the woman that the average Joe out there doesn’t walk around with security watching their back. It was classic.

Of course she does ... her career went steadily downhill after that broadcast. After many years and an inability to get a steady paying job, and a diminishing bank account ... now she is contrite. Go figure.

...and her weight up!

ok, that was a cheap shot, I admit.

Oprahaha is delusional if she thinks Rosie can help save her never watched network.

You are 100% correct. What a self important Hippo. No one cares about this woman and since Selleck is in a top rated network show AGAIN, the last thing anyone thinks about is Rosie. Selleck's mustache is more famous than her.

When I think of Tom Selleck, the first thought which pops in my mind is that if I look out from my balcony, I can see the house where he grew up. :)

Contrite after 12 yrs. I’m sure her new old show has nothing to do with this in a desperate effort to earn some viewer support. The fat lady is singing.

actually, for the rest of his life he will have to be associated with “Magnum P.I.”. His defense of the NRA makes up for all those years of really bad television however.

Same thing I thought.

I’m sure Tom is *just fine*.

The Sow, OTOH, has to live with it the regret of ripping into a “really nice guy” for the rest of ~her~ miserable, misbegotten life.

Here’s to your -really- old age, Rosie!

You should check out his show Blue Bloods...very politically incorrect. Family meals, prayer before meals, Muslim bad guys - very good.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) we do not have televised programming in our home. We view DVD’s instead. I’m sure I can purchase the series on DVD sooner or later.

Really bad television? Not at all. It was decent entertainment.
