I just bought 5 today at retail (Amazon.com). It’s the greatest bargain I ever got!
I could only come up with Tom McClintock
How am I supposed to know that? It had all the markings of an attempt as a put-down of her “rural lingo”.
I thought the term was closed captioned for the deaf/hard of hearing.(I use it a lot because of my hearing loss, saves irritating others with the tv volume cranked up)
I assumed subtitles meant like translating from French to English, for example.
Close Captioning is a bit different than subtitles (usually SDH subtitles which are listed under ‘languages’ on DVDs).
They are similar but one is a separate track that the TV reads and one is input on the DVD itself. Subtitles are easier, IMO, to read because they don’t have the black box surrounding them. Subtitles (and even CC) are not that common on documentaries which is why I asked.
Don’t assume insults when there aren’t any.
What a load of crap! NOBODY is liked by everyone! Jesus Christ was the finest, most perfect human ever born, and he was crucified by the majority rule of the day! WHich, by the way, does NOT mean he wasn't the right guy for the JOB.
ANY of this getting through, there, WindyLimpy? Are you insane or just an imbecile? Good grief, the crap you come up with.
;^\
It wasn’t Palin’s film and she had nothing to do with what was in it. Bannon is the producer, director, editor. Even if she asked, he should say “no” as any documentary filmmaker should. It’s his work, his vision, his artistry. You don’t have to like it but the criticism needs to be directed at Bannon, not Palin.

Wow. We never heard THAT before. I guess Palin's all washed up, huh?
LMAO!!!!

Who said she should declare by Labor Day weekend? It wasn’t her because she’s been very vague (holding her cards close as she says) and has only given a September-October time frame.

I see you are up to your usual foul mouth crudeness.
No person on this forum is as crazy or truly demented as you are.
Just reading this post of yours is proof.
Of course conservatism is an ideology. An ideology is just a collection of ideas, and if you read our Founders and those who have followed in their footsteps, you know that our nation is built on a collection of ideas, hence, an ideology. The difference between us and liberals is that our ideas are better grounded in reality (aka natural law). The left’s grand ideas, focused as they are on creating a utopian equality of circumstance, are pure magical thinking, and can never work. Our grand ideas, like individual rights and freedoms, individual moral duty, individual reward for individual effort, do work in the real world, and produce a better reality than is possible under the delusions of a man-made utopia.
But we cannot elect grand ideas to political office. We are a nation that believes in rewarding exceptional individuals for exceptional contributions, and in politics we do that through elections. So why should it be so strange that someone like Sarah Palin, who had indeed demonstrated extraordinary giftedness at political leadership, should be the focus of conservative attention? There is a job to fill, and many of us believe she is exactly the right person to fill it. That is not a cult of personality. That’s just common sense in hiring the next President.
>>There are a whole bunch of them already, the running outfit on the I can win Newsweek cover, she said We when addressing the candidates on FBC recently, she was wearing an I am T-shirt at the Iowa State Fair, the ‘Fire in her Belly’. I also read that Republicans moved up their primary because she is running. They are all over the place. <<
And Paul is dead. I mean, the clues are all there!!!
Saint Sarah of the Trademark or bust!
Now, what might explain over 30% of the American public having a suddenly "improved opinion" of Sarah Palin? I mean, there's no way it was the movie, "The Undefeated."
I know, because DNMFOHE and Winkty Touching Clown told me so.
LOL!

For some background on the notion that “conservatism is not an ideology”, check out this piece:

I would love to accomodate but I am in the bush of Alaska on dial-up.
It would takes weeks to upload to YouTube from here. Maybe somebody else could help out.
It’s not her asking. Bannon makes money not the Palins. Since when is making money a bad thing? I’ve seen more negative comments about having lots of money directed at Palin than anyone else. Sometimes I read these threads and I think I’m at DU, there’s so much envy here. I’d think it’d be better to have someone who knows how to earn more than he/she spends. Whether she runs or not she’s helped conservatives a great deal.

Perch and rotate, WimpyLimpy.
**I suppose someone could call and find out which it is.**
Calls are already being made, so I’m sure they’ll get this worked out:

“Sarah Palin-affiliated law firm made early-state deadline inquiries”
Looks like you’re right that Utah got moved back.
Hey! There you are!
Knew it was only a matter of time.
