Opinion polls about a non-candidate are irrelevant.

Like 87% of all FReepers did. That is not a hormonal response. That is conservatism at work, dipshit. Gag on it.

Spot on! Notice how the normal PDS's who invade these threads cannot refute her conservative positions, or cannot point to any corruption in her past? These people have a over-the-top bias against her that can only be explained by their own considerable and obvious prejudices.

RE :”I just bought 5 today at retail (Amazon.com). It’s the greatest bargain I ever got!

Next time stock up on (incandescent ) 100W light bulbs. Those will be hard to come by. The movie will eventually show up on cable movie stations. But the price/value of these bulbs will being going up in the next few years as then wont be made in the US anymore.

WTc, if you have access to contracts between Bannon and Palin, please feel free to share that knowledge with the rest of the class. But I think you have nothing but your own dark cynicism to guide you, as usual, so I will not hold my breath waiting for an answer based on fact.

So basically you’re calling your fellow freepers, people who share your values (which would have to include a certain amount of rational thought) stupid? Nice. The fact is, right now the majority aren’t even paying attention. That we are, regardless of who we support, shows that Palin supporters are just as concerned about the country as everyone else here. Most of us think she’ll run, some are unsure but there’s plenty of time to rally around someone else should she decide not to run. Enthusiasm is a good thing.

You know, I hope you aren’t teaching your grandchildren the behavior you’re exhibiting here. Going on threads for the only purpose of taking digs at people is not nice. Were you to do that on a school playground you’d be hauled away. At this point everyone knows who we all support at this point in time. Most of us will have to choose someone else (not just Palin supporters, all of us) because the field will be whittled down to one. It might not be your choice or mine. So what purpose does it serve? It’s not like anyone has anything new to say. It’s the same old digs time after time after time. Just give it a rest. I bet you teach your grandchildren, as I do to mine, “do unto others...” After seeing you on countless Palin threads doing exactly what you’re doing perhaps you should practice it as well.

Palin didn’t allege. Bannon did. He’s been emphatic that she had nothing to do with it. Even her voice overs were from her reading her audiobook. Since she campaigned pretty hard for so many this last election I don’t think she thinks they’re all corrupt. In her speeches she talks about a specific kind of politician (entrenched, crony capitalist like the one occupying the white house).

“then the Sarah Palin myth will be fully exposed”

You’re kinda correct, but that hasn’t happened yet.

Until she starts missing filing deadlines, everybody stamping their feet like children because she hasn't "announced" yet and saying that she can't win because of it are coming across as simpering chatterboxes who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Not to mention that they are tools of the mainstream media, willing or unwilling.

I don't care how much money she makes...I like people getting rich...hope you find a way to get rich (if you haven't already).

This whole thing is about selling DVDs, not getting the Trademark to announce.

Same thing with the Toddster going on radio a few days ago.....all about selling DVDs.

And only a fool would believe that none of the profit is going to the palins.

I’d hope that human nature would include enough respect for their fellow man to not come into their conversation (or thread as it may be) and insult them. Supposedly we’re NOT conservative, shouldn’t have an ideology (but evidently do, according to you & that’s a bad thing), that we aren’t living in reality (”let’s pretend”) as if we all don’t know she might not run...though I think she will. We’re well aware that we’ll coalesce around another candidate...but it’s the same for most of us because only one person will get the nomination. Depending on how things shake out some of us will have thrown our support behind more than one candidate.

If you’re going to decide who is a conservative and who isn’t and insult those who don’t fit into whatever definition you’ve chosen can you do it elsewhere? It’s legitimate to discuss reasons you think she may/may not be running and even her policy positions but it serves no purpose to come on a thread of supporters (whether you think they’re “cultists” or not) and carry on a conversation that basically expresses how wrong they are, how they can’t possibly have conservative values, and how much better you are (if you don’t think that’s the message you’re giving reread your post.)

It’s getting to the point where I cringe when I come here every morning to see what’s going on in the country, including news about candidates and others who may/may not jump in because I know I’m going to scroll down and read a bunch of insults. Granted, I could decide not to read the comments but often people provide a wealth of information (about myriad topics) in the posts including links to other resources. A little rivalry between supporters makes primary season fun, this constant barrage is just downright arrogant.

Prove it. You made the charge, you research it, you prove it! Honestly, you’ve called everyone who doesn’t believe she’s getting a cut “fools”. You have the obligation to prove you’re right and we’re wrong. Otherwise I think you owe people an apology. I’m serious, prove this or keep it out of the conversation. Rumor and innuendo is for DU.

Let’s see that makes about 9 or 10 posts so far on this
thread alone...a little obsessed aren’t we.

We get it...you have made it clear you are anti-Palin-for-POTUS.

Go find another thread...preferably not a Palin one, since
you claim and state you have no interest. You anti-Palin
people make me laugh...if it was not for you and the media
hanging on her every word or deed she would have dropped off
the radar by now.

Rarely if ever can I find a comment in print, on the radio
or TV that is not somehow trying to deride Palin in some
form or another.

I appreciate being directed to the article by Kirk. However, it appears to me he has erected a straw man which he can then supplant with his own unique contributions. Put short, the dictionary supports my application of the term “ideology” to conservatism. The mere fact that conservative ideas occupy a higher layer of idea formation than some contemporary issues does not make them less any less a system of ideas.

Kirk indeed listed several beliefs that do constitute ideas that been constant over time, and were central to creating the organic documents of our founding. In other words, imperfect as it may be, there is a body of literature that expresses conservative dogma, one of Kirk’s hypothetical requirements for findiing “ideology.” Thus, even under his own over-narrow definition, conservatism still ends up being an ideology.

And for me, I say good. I have no problem identifying with a specific set of ideas I can call home as a conservative. Kirk’s book, “The Conservative Mind,” IIRC, was panned by some of our own movement conservatives as an attempt to reengineering the term “conservative” into a more moderate mold. I think, for example, Romney could score well on most of those points. I’m not sure that’s a good thing.

Anyway, thanks for the link. It does help me understand where some of this has been coming from.

Peace,

SR

Throwing another tea leaf into the cup for people to argue about:

The palintv.com site has a splash page up saying “Site undergoing major overhaul—We will be back by end of October—Sorry for the inconvenience”

It obviously means she’s running/not running/has a plan/is just in it for the money/whatever, whatever/lather, rinse, repeat. . .

We now return you to your regularly scheduled tedious internecine sniping . . .

The political landscape is changing quickly as to the primaries. That alone forces a decision one way or another.
Also the Economic Landscape is changing by the hour.
We are witnessing an economic meltdown in the markets, Greece will default and those ripples will hit this country in the form of more negative exposure for our already insolvent Money Center banks.
Our corrupt politicians in D.C. have done nothing or said nothing.
So clearly if Palin is waiting for a Sign from Above this is the moment.
We may be looking at absolute chaos between now and the election.
So if she wants a piece of this then jump in and tell what you would do. What new and daring ideas are there that will bring some hope and common sense to the table other than the usual BS?????????????

You make a lot of sense. Why wouldn’t Palin want to jump headlong into this tornado of events. We truly need her ideas and her clear, inspirational way of expressing them.
