Sarah Palin obviously isn’t even a declared candidate, but according to a new national poll she’s not only still well within the fray, but gaining speed:

I love the girl, but let’s not harrumph and not vote if, a. she doesn’t run, or b. run’s but doesn’t get the nomination... if either of those scenarios be the case, you can betcha she will play a big part in the next administration...

What's even more humorous to me is the internals of the poll show independents breaking for her big time, the very ones we have been slavishly told by too many on this forum that will never vote for her.

LOLOL! Oh no! That couldn't possibly be....

Sarah can't win.
She's too conservative!
It's too late for her to enter.
She's been too brutalized in the press.
She quit her job.
She did a tv show.
Her daughter did a dancing show.
She eats the heads off chickens!

Heh, heh, heh. It's just the beginning. I see a Ronald Reagan landslide (except for Cali, of course! LOL)

Very revealing on several levels:

- Despite the media’s Five Year Plan to absolutely destroy her, support for Sarah remains much deeper and broader than anyone, even on our side of the aisle, is willing to believe.

- The MSM and the Democrat Party is working overtime sending telegrams, semaphores and smoke signals to Obama saying that “YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE! DO US ALL A FAVOR AND GET OUT OF THE RACE NOW!” (keep in mind all those same people think Sarah is some kind of space alien)

- Given the above, Turner’s win in NY-9 may turn out to be one of the most pivotal political turning points in American history.

- and this is key...If the MSM and Dems are working this hard to kick Barry to the curb, the rumblings that he is clinically depressed and/or having some kind of crackup must be true, and all of the top-level Democrats know it.

Pray for America.

-

Obama has one year to right this ship.

And how will he do that? By declaring Amnesty in time for millions of Illegal Mexicans to vote.

She was looking very much like a contender on Hannity last night.

I saw that, she really did look good, very presidential, and you may be right about the speech lessons.

The distressing thing is that Obama should be getting about ten to fifteen percent...not anything approaching fifty percent. Ten percent allows for the mentally unfit and illiterate plus some commies...who fit into both categories actually. That almost fifty percent of the voting public think Obama is still more qualified than successful governors means this country is in deep trouble.

Just when I think, OK, maybe she is not running. I'm back to, Oh yea!, she's running.

It's good to know I'm not alone. :^)

Very interesting. I wasn't surprised that Perry polled well when he first announced, but the test is how well his poll numbers hold up as more learn about him.

He says some great things and is definitely on the right side of many issues, but...

He's made some real WTFs, too, like his HPV mandate, his stances on dealing with illegal immigration or his TTC plan, that raise warning flags and will strongly distance rank and file Tea Party types from his candidacy and lower him in the polls.

Palin looks better and better the more you learn about him and Romney, the two current front runners.

Hmmm, looks like more then just a few either read or listened to Sarah’s Labor Day speech where she attacked the crony capitalism of both the D’s and R’s. Sarah is the only one telling it like it is.

patently waiting on Sarah here in Texas.

I don't think any of the things you mentioned will be nearly as destructive of his chances as his pay-to-play Texas dealings. With a major factor in Obama's sinking poll numbers being the Solyndra and LightSquared scandals, running Perry will totally neutralize this issue; dems will with some justification just claim that the GOP candidate is just as bad. Google "Perry pay-to-play" to get a sense of some of the things the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Drudge, the Dallas Morning News, and others have been reporting.

80% registered voters, 20% adults, weighted at 30% Republicans.

If the poll was likely voters, weighted at 37% Republicans, then it would be Palin 49% - Obama 44%.

....this land-line sample was supplemented by respondents reached through random dialing of cell phone numbers.
Thanks for posting this. I've wondered how they got accurate polling data when a lot of people do not have a landline. The overwhelming majority of young people have nothing but a cell phone.

Just giving y'all tit for tat!

Not even close. You have not made a single statement on this thread that debates a stand that Palin has given in a speech. But mention Gardasil and the Perry supporters freak. Ask something or make a point about where Perry gets donations from and the Perry supporters go nuts. Your attacks are personal and have NOTHING to do with Palins political views.
