Until they run out of fuel for the generators or somebody disables them, too, and then it’ll be a free-for-all. In which case, you may need to revise your numbers up a bit.
I believe that this outage affects the border checkpoints.What say AQ is bringing the bomb though San Diego as we speak.
The power plant went off line as a safety measure. The plant takes itself off line to protect the plant from any damage.
PNM is proud to be one of several owners of Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, largest nuclear plant in the United States. Located about 50 miles west of Phoenix in Tonopah, Ariz., Palo Verde generates 3,810 megawatts of energy. The plant, which has been online since 1986, services homes throughout the Southwest and meets nearly 20 percent of the power needs of PNM customers.

Severed doesn’t mean the lines have been physically cut. It means service has been interrupted. They still don’t know why.

SDGE is reporting they have repaired one of the Transmission Lines and some power should slowly be restored

This sounds like a plot of a NCIS show (rerun) I saw a few days ago - terrorists planed to take out three key transmission towers somewhere on the east coast. Three towers down would cascade and cause power outages throughout the entire east coast. Of course Gibbs and crew riddled the terrorist with bullets before he could trigger the bomb to the first tower!
Cut, sever, does not matter. They point is they don’t know how or why but they KNOW it’s not terrorism.
