Sarah Palin stirs the pot but doesn’t announce (Obama 2012 & Palin 2016 in Works?)

Sarah Palin stirs the pot but doesn’t announce By Jennifer Rubin Sarah Palin didn’t announce her candidacy for president Saturday at a Tea Party gathering in Iowa. But she did complicate matters for front-runner Texas Gov. Rick Perry, suggesting an actual strategy may be at work: If Perry stumbles, she might get into the race. But don’t bet on it.

Mitt Romney and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) might want to sent Palin some flowers. She did an enormous favor for them in making the argument against “crony capitalism,” one of the most potent arguments against Perry. As this report observed:

“We’re celebrating red, white and blue America!” she began her speech, amid the sounds of cheering and what sounded suspiciously like a vuvuzela. After painting a dire picture of the American economy as it stands today, she railed against President Obama: “Is this what you call winning the future? I call it

I like both Perry and Palin.

I found the grammar interesting by this writer though. I'm far from being a pro at grammar but I don't work for the Washington Post either.

Mitt Romney and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) might want to sent Palin some flowers.

Public schools are just awesome.

Palin will not play second fiddle to Bush Lite, so I do not expect her to throw her support behind him. But, the alternative (Obamney) is not good either. Palin will most likely stay on the sidelines and pick the eventual winner near the end.

.
Should it not be ‘awesomely’?

Hmm, leave no child behind (and don’t forget to feed it).

Hahahaha....This kind of mistake happens in my own writings when I amend a sentence I start typing so significantly, but then don’t re-read to ensure propriety. She may have written something first that required “sent”, but then amended the whole thing, but forgot to re-read and correct.

Just a guess.

You’ve gotta love the way she plays the press.

She is sooooo superior to the MSM slugs in every way.

And...added bonus...she’s a tough chick. (Sorry for the sexist remark, but let’s face it, folks - wow!)

I’m starting to think she’s running for V.P.

I don't know that she "trashed" Perry. Certainly not to the point to where she cannot credibly endorse him later.

My guess is that as long as he doesn't stumble over the next couple of months, that is exactly what will happen.

It can only be Mitt’s VP. Can’t be Perry’s if she is “elbowing” Perry.

Happens to me all the time. I’m just surprised to see it happening on major websites like the Washington Post.

If Barack the Kenyan wins in 2012, there won’t be no 2016. JMO.

That’s ok! Won’t hold it against you.

Most of us Palinistas believe that there are more signs that she ‘is’ running than she ‘isn’t’ running. Look at it this way, if the answer were going to be a “NO”, why the wait? Unless of course, she’s just in it for the “publicity”. Of course, there’s no “Apprentice” to equate things this time around. Besides, she doesn’t strike as the “The Donald” type anyway.

That's the way I see it and pointed out elsewhere. The media are claiming she "trashed" Perry with her crony capitalism remarks, I hardly think that is true. It might have been a jab, but not something that would prevent her from endorsing him later.

If Perry emerges as the nominee, Governor Palin will enthusiastically support him.

Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrright. So if Romney wins, Palin picked him.

Gotcha.

Palin has never "trashed" Perry. You must be confusing her with me (although that's not easy to do). But, I'll take credit for that.

Palin’s own candidacy depends on Perry’s popularity. If Perry remains popular and grows, Palin will not risk getting in and divide Tea Party votes. So, when she is forced to pick someone (against Obama), she will probably side with Perry. Romney is not going to win the nomination, so picking Perry is the obvious choice for Palin.

However, if Perry’s popularity stagnates at all, I expect Palin to jump in and sweep everybody away. I think she is viable as a potential candidate until late fall of 2011... possibly November even.
