Thanks, but it truely hurts me to contemplate it all.

Allow ME to be emotional. I have always loved this country, and have sacrificed my well being for Her. When I was 17 I decided to join the Marine Corps with a group of high school buddies where we would all go through Parris Island together and thusly tough it out. But the week before our delayed enlistment (and on my 18th birthday no less) I got into a bad car accident and got a huge scar on my head. So bottom line, the Marines made me delay my enlistment 90 days in case I had a concussion....

Desponedent that I could not join with my buddies, I was almost going to give up but the Air Force recruiter convinced me that with my test scores I’d be better off in the Air Force with a good skill that would get me a decent job after 4 years. Long story short, I joined the Air Force.

Surprisingly, I loved it! I spent the next 22 years serving my country around the globe. I gave up the job after 4 years in order to pay back that which gave me this incredible American life.

I must admit, now that I’m retired it worked out very well for me so now I see it as a good life that I lived and what some may call sacrifice I called fun. We went through some serious times together (the Air Force, country and me) and saw some scary things, but our cause was right and our might was mighty.

Now I am about to watch it all drain away due to the stupidity of some people, but mostly due to the treachery of the driveby media whom I’ve always despised and do so so much more. I know realize the true communists were not in the Soviet Union who we stood up to but in ABCCBSCNNNBCPBSNYTWP-AP.

I always wondered how God would see fit to bring this World to an end to in order to bring those horrible end times of our Savior’s return.

It is being revealed, unfortunately.

they wouldn’t...some in the Left want cloward-Pivin, the others are just so self centered they want to hand out the pork, the entitlements to get re-elected...A lethal combo.

Cut spending is one of the keys but the real key drag on our economy is high energy prices.

High Energy prices, fostered by President 0’s nusy “green” policies, are killing the US, and thus the World, Economy.

Every single GOP candidate should be saying “a Policy of US Energy Independence” in every speech from now to Nov 2012.

High Energy prices have an radically negative effect on the economy. High energy prices destroy US Consumer Confidence and they eat up US Consumer’s discretionary spending dollars.

US Consumer spending is the engine that drives the World Economy. Without it any economic recovery will be anemic at best.

High energy prices effect not only the price of gasoline, but also the price of every good and service the consumer buys. It also drives up the price of the energy the consumer buys to power their homes. It drives up the costs for producers to produce the goods US Consumers buy.

Until the cost of energy is addressed the US, and the world, economic recovery is going to be stagnant at best.

yes I know....its a question I give to liberals to let them explain it to me!
Their explanation are always tragicomic and makes me wish I was a visitor to this planet.

Re: leading from behind

One of my favorite authors, Larry Niven, has an alien race in his Tales of Known Space series called Pierson’s Puppeteers who are the universe’s biggest cowards. Their leader is “he who leads from behind,” AKA The Hindmost. I’ve been calling Obambi that for some time.

Without the enemy media (Yes, the media are the enemy of the Republic when they spew the lies fed to them by the anti-American democrat party leadership), the democrats would win nothing as truth would dissolve their lies daily. Alas, it appears that democrat voters have grown so accustomed to being lied to and knowing it, they now prefer to be lied to. Truly, the democrat party is the child of their father, a murderer from the start.

When the hell has Barack Obama ever been devoted to any cause besides his own re-election and the destruction of America?

"Right now the stage is set and it is critical the Repubs repeat the reasons we are in the crisis we are in."

Why this isn't repeated over and over again is beyond me.

It's what Boehner needs to repeat over and over again if he chooses to go down the bad deal path, to set up for the 2012 elections.

I don't think he'll wage a word of words. He cares too much about what the media thinks.

I hate to say this but it is true. The military has enjoyed a great ten years or so of good funding for troop pay and operations. We are hurting for project money for issues that may soon bite us hard, but it’s not been that bad. In war time, we get budget items filled that we need.

Having lived through the Cold War drawdown and so-called Peace Dividend, I know what I’m talking about.

So for a short period, a few years maximum, I believe the military can take a financial hit and not be too hurt. We’ll have to give up a few programs that will hurt us if they’re not funded in a few years (like for any war with China—which might happen in our future) but this year and next we could probably lop off 10-15% without real damage.

The next question for us all then is what will be the next Pearl Harbor/9-11?

We cannot allow THAT to happen. The costs shouldn’t matter. But I think most of our troops want our country to survive, so the budget may need our help most, short term.

I am increasingly shipping to foreign countries

Was listening to Harry Rinker's Antiques & Collectibles radio show this morning. He said he sees increased sales to Russians and others flush with oil money. He wasn't making a political point, just a market observation in his area of expertise.

Keep reading. Or else you haven’t heard a WORD I’ve said.

The “Kenyan” will do what he does, but if this mess of an economy doesn’t improve by 2012, he’s out.

None of what he does will get it there. Ergo, he’s out.

Well, actually that figure does not include the 130 billion per month revenues the fed will rake in during that time, so add another 1.5 trillion to your number barry bassturd will funnel to Holder’s people and the banking interests ultimately controlling America.

............"The formation of a special Congressional committee to recommend further deficit reduction of up to $1.6 trillion (whatever it takes to add up to the total of the debt ceiling increase). This deficit reduction could take the form of spending cuts, tax increases or both. "................. The committee must make these recommendations before Thanksgiving and it must be approved by Dec. 23. Otherwise, automatic cuts to Defense and Medicare will occur. Medicare cuts are limited and will be taken from providers, not beneficiaries. Defense cuts will be harsher. The fear is that Repubs will be forced to accept tax increases or have the Pentagon gutted. This is nuts.

I agree.

I think in the end, we will have Boehner, Pelosi, the rest of the Democrats, and liberal Republicans unite to pass the final bill over the objections of the Tea Party freshmen and other conservatives. Obama and Reid will have gotten an immediate increase in the debt ceiling in exchange for projected future cuts along with a super panel can can recommend tax increases. Bonus points to the Obama left: They will have divided the GOP against itself. What a mess.
