Obama: Keep guns away from criminals

Discussing the issue in the context of the Gabrielle Giffords shooting, President Obama penned an opinion column on guns that was published Sunday in the Arizona Daily Star, a Tucson newspaper.
The president acknowledged that gun control is one of the most sensitive of all hot-button issues:
"I know some aren't interested in participating. Some will say that anything short of the most sweeping anti-gun legislation is a capitulation to the gun lobby. Others will predictably cast any discussion as the opening salvo in a wild-eyed scheme to take away everybody's guns. And such hyperbole will become the fodder for overheated fundraising letters."

I think many here believe that Obama is a criminal.
Guns should be kept away from criminals.
The POTUS is the Commander in Chief and the head of multiple armed Federal agencies, thus having at his command a great many guns.
Therefore, perhaps, Obama should no longer be allowed to be President.

You cannot deal with the gun haters in good faith, the only thing which will satisfy them is a total prohibition of privately held firearms.
They do not deal honestly, in intent or in actions.
What ever they gain today they will be back for more tomorrow.
Only when we are all huddled, NYC style, in little cells, with multiple deadbolts on every door and window, will they be content.
Then, they will be back, moaning about knives with sharp points.
