After a decisive win in Tuesdays Republican Primary, businessman Ron Johnson now holds a seven-point lead over incumbent Democrat Russ Feingold in Wisconsins U.S. Senate race.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Johnson picking up 51% support, while Feingold earns the vote from 44%. One percent (1%) of voters prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) remain undecided.

Oops first double post in my career.
Then we should have had better candidate. That sucks.
“I hope Wisconsis Freepers help make it happen!”
Wisco Freepers will make it happen - in Statewide races we will win.
Walker 4 Gov
Johnson 4 Senate
Somebody posted that they heard Tammy Baldwyn might go down - That’s a stretch... I live in her district, in the Madison Burbs - It’s a heavy progressive area. Her opponent Chad Lee is 27 - not that it should matter - but the bigger issue is nearly 20-1 money advantage Baldwyn has and the fact Baldwyn usually beats her opponents around here with 60-70% of the vote. I guess he might have a slight chance if he spends most of his time / money on Campus and the rest outside of Madison city proper.
People are tweaked - so I suppose anything can happen.

Yes, Feingold is on the attack. And, this is only the beginning. Unfortunately, too many will believe what he says partially because he has not been this way that much in the past. Mr. Smiley was his “thing”.
Working on it every day from the MKE County/North Shore Victory Office in Glendale!!! — kloppy
Common Council chair Willie Hines will run.
So the question is whether or not Clarke will flip to Republican and run. He is elected to Sheriff as a Dem, but talks like a conservative at the Milwaukee tea party events.
All a matter of precincts. I have doubts that Clarke can win in a Milwaukee-only election due to the weight of the north side.
Herb Kohl has capable constituent services people who are responsive and polite. Plus, the Senator has been an enigma - a man with a lengthy track record and nothing of note with his name attached.
He might be hard to beat because he puts little effort into matters that could offend and he is rarely seen in public or on the record in the media.
Great! Across the country we Freepers are making a difference with the help of many other patriots in other grassroots groups! We Floridians are going to do all we can to send only Conservatives to the US House, Rubio to the Senate, Rick Scott as Governor, Jennifer Carroll as Lt.Governor, and Pam Bondi as Attorney General. Then when Nelson’s Senate seat comes up ion 2012, out he goes! :)
I hope Wisconsis Freepers help make it happen!
I'm a volunteer for Scott Walker, I mostly make phone calls but have helped at rallies too. The WI GOP has endorsed both so the voter id calls we make are for both candidates as are the get out the vote calls we make closer to the election.
The # for Walker's campaign headquarters is 414-453-2010, ask for Nate Ristow. We need volunteers for both campaigns but I don't have the # for the Ron Johnson campaign.
It isn’t unusual for the winner of a primary to come off well in the polls just after the election. It’s nice to see for Johnson, but not unexpected.
There are two things that will really hurt him: 1. Feingold is a master politician and will use EVERYTHING at his disposal to torpedo Johnson and 2. massive voter fraud is not only possible here, but I think happens on a regular basis.
WI FReepers - we must get out there and turn as many of our contacts out for Johnson as we possibly can. We not only have to turn our 51% for, but because of the fraud we have to get to maybe even 55%!
Talk to your friends, give money for his campaign, and if you have time, contact the local campaign office to volunteer.
How bad to you want it?
. . . and on top of that, Johnson is the challenger and the undecideds tend, per Dick Morris, to break against the incumbent.
Yes, there is! Although I did not support Johnson in the Primary, I hope these numbers hold up and that all eligible republicans and conservatives turn out to vote. I understand that only 19 percent of eligibles voted in the Primary. That’s beyond pathetic!
From your keypad..... I fully expect the tsunami, but am preparing for the worst. This time is different. God, please bless us.
Selling t-shirts wasn’t going to propel Westlake, don’t discount Johnson, he’s the real deal and I hope you find it to support him.

Rove missed one!
Likely to tighten up at the end.
But that we are close is very encouraging.

It details volunteer opportunities to check absentee ballot signatures, etc. Worth a look.
In re: peaking too soon, I am reminded that absentee ballots get sent in all through October, and there are a lot of them. It’s not like everybody votes 11/2. Many have already voted by then.
