DEMS CALL POLITICAL OPPONENTS THREAT TO SECURITY
boblonsberry.com ^ | 04/15/09 | Bob Lonsberry

I am a rightwing extremist.

At least that’s what the new administration would call me.

In a sweeping nine-page document sent to state and local law-enforcement agencies last week, the federal government sounded the alarm against “rightwing extremists,” and called on law enforcement to join it in identifying and investigating people who fit a certain profile.

Like veterans.

And gun owners.

And people who believe in the Tenth Amendment.

In something from the Stalin side of Orwell, the new Democrat regime in Washington has identified those who disagree with it as potential threats to the state.

Put another way: The purge has begun.

Here are the specifics. On April 7, the Department of Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis sent out an alert to American law enforcement. It identified “rightwing extremists” as a danger.

It then defined “rightwing extremists.”

They were people for whom one issue was very important – like opposing abortion, or opposing illegal immigration. It was also people who felt that the federal government was too powerful and that states’ rights should be respected.

Gun owners also came under fire.

“A correlation may exist between the potential passage of gun control legislation,” Homeland Security warned, “and increased hoarding of ammunition, weapons stockpiling, and paramilitary training activities among rightwing extremists.”

So, if you believe that the Democrats in Washington may pass laws limiting the availability of guns or ammunition, and you consequently buy guns or ammunition before they make it illegal to do so, you are a “rightwing extremist.”

Or my neighbor.

Or me.

Because I find that the Democrats’ profile of a potential threat to national security sounds amazingly like a Republican. And this bulletin sounds amazingly like the Democrats using the power of law enforcement to attack and suppress their political opponents.

The same party that complained when Homeland Security tapped the phone calls of foreign Muslim terrorists is now using Homeland Security to defame and investigate conservative American Republicans.

I can’t decide if that is more reminsicent of the Gestapo or the KGB. All I know is that it isn’t American.

Especially since it targets veterans.

Another personality type the brown shirts see as potential “rightwing extremists” – combat veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan.

That’s right. The men and women who volunteered to defend our country in a time of war, the ones who you and I welcome with open arms and parades, the thought police are suspicious of them.

I’m not sure what prejudice of the liberal mind it is that makes Democrats mistrust veterans, but it’s about to elevate the best among us to the watch list.

So I’m coming clean.

I want to save the Democrats the trouble of tapping my phone.

I am a veteran who is opposed to abortion and illegal immigration. I drive a four-wheel-drive American-made pick-up truck and it has an NRA sticker in the window. There’s also an American flag and a magnetic Army ribbon and a sticker from a private Christian college.

I’m as rightwing extremist as it gets.

And so are most of the people I know.

And it’s too bad the government has decided that we’re the enemy. It’s too bad the new president and his comrades in the Congress are trying to use the police as their political enforcers.

Speaking of the police, I’m surprised they weren’t included in the profile.

“Operation Thrift”...........

I think if you use the FR search you can find out more about this "thrift" movement. It needs a little more momentum, though. I think the tea parties are starting this kind of thing already. It just doesn't have a name.

I spent many years in Texas, retired from TI.

Looks like I may need to move back. The USA has declared me an enemy of the country.

our country hates its soldiers.

No no, only the lib half. The other half, the RIGHT wing, considers our soldiers our last line of honorable defense.

IMO, our military is our last best hope to return to the Constitution, because they are the only ones left in the gubmint who respect it.

God bless all of our soldiers, veterans and those currently serving. The American people may need them now more than ever.

I printed out the pdf, attached it to my federal tax return and mailed it.

I'm old and have nothing to lose.

I have a feeling that the 'Big O' better keep a very close eye on his Secret Service contingent.

1. They carry guns. Probably shot them too since a very young age.

2. Probably came from a family of gun owners. (Had to be....most libs are terrified of guns)

3. They are very patriotic. Obviously so because of their vocational choice.

4. That's enough for now, but there are plenty more.

What was it the left was saying just a handful of months ago? Oh, yes! Dissent is patriotic! Even calling (that spend-thrift)Bush things like "chimpy," and "bushitler."

I now realize what my older Vietnam War brothers already knew: our country hates its soldiers.

Nope! The left in our country hates our country's soldiers.

Watch for them to start “stepping it up”.

Watch for realignment of senior military structure.

No we had Easter dinner with a friend who is a contractor and he told us about it. This is my research. I posted the link to the IRS at the bottom sorry you didn’t make it that far. Certain types of barter are taxable!

I thought everyone knew that. He**, they have made movies about it, usually comedies because the gov doesn't want you to get upset when they come and claim taxes on some item you traded for another, even though you didn't make money on it. The key is to not talk about it, only barter with like minded idividuals and keep your mouth shut. Simple, huh?

After that paragraph I probably moved up on the government watch list from #1,001,102 to #1,000,000!

and that is not a joke.

Obama: "We have met the enemy, and it is us!"

"Terrorists and their sponsors are our friends and should be kowtowed to."

"The real 'threat' to our country is freedom-lovers and right wing extremists. They must be controlled by any means possible!"

Do what the liberals do - rename it. Call it "sharing."

Isn't that what Obomas been preaching? Just say you've been listening to your glorious president.

“Right wing extremist” = a normal, traditional, hard-working, taxpaying American who believes the US Constitution still has some standing, and rejects Dumbo and the Democrats’ agenda to turn America into a Euro-style, socialist welfare state in order to secure their own cushy offices.

Unfortunately, it may be too late. It looks like the parasites now outnumber the hosts.

This report paints EVERY ASPECT OF CONSERVATISM as suspect and specific groups as a threat to national security! Specifically mentioned in the Report: homosexuality, abortion, military, gun control, immigration, border security, states rights, Christianity, Constitution.

The Boy Wonder Rahm Emanuel has been busy. This initiative has the fingerprints of Obama's COS written all over it.

One never knows what this cunning, calculated individual will come up with. Emanuel's a dual US-Israeli citizen, and a Wall Street operator who became wealthy overnight.

You have to wonder how much Rahm knew about Wall Street scams that collapsed the market----and exactly what Rahm knew about Madoff's con-----as he was toiling in the cozy canyons of Wall Street.

On any list of those who are a threat to national security---Rahm Emanuel is at the very top.

I guess our Governor, Rick Perry, is a “Right Wing Extremist,” too, since he is being very vocal about supporting the 10th Amendment joint resolution and he publicly stated he wants to get the Federal Government out of our business.

“Boy, am I in trouble.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I’ll tell you who is in trouble...me! I am a 6 foot 4 inch, 270 pound, lily white Republican, descended from the Norman conquerors of England, with two Confederate veteran great grandfathers, heterosexual, member of a Southern Baptist church, Navy veteran, CWP holder, gun owner, NRA member, American Legion member, FREEPER and I am sure I am overlooking something. I think I should head for the hole in the wall.
