DEMS CALL POLITICAL OPPONENTS THREAT TO SECURITY
boblonsberry.com ^ | 04/15/09 | Bob Lonsberry

I am a rightwing extremist.

At least that’s what the new administration would call me.

In a sweeping nine-page document sent to state and local law-enforcement agencies last week, the federal government sounded the alarm against “rightwing extremists,” and called on law enforcement to join it in identifying and investigating people who fit a certain profile.

Like veterans.

And gun owners.

And people who believe in the Tenth Amendment.

In something from the Stalin side of Orwell, the new Democrat regime in Washington has identified those who disagree with it as potential threats to the state.

Put another way: The purge has begun.

Here are the specifics. On April 7, the Department of Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis sent out an alert to American law enforcement. It identified “rightwing extremists” as a danger.

It then defined “rightwing extremists.”

They were people for whom one issue was very important – like opposing abortion, or opposing illegal immigration. It was also people who felt that the federal government was too powerful and that states’ rights should be respected.

Gun owners also came under fire.

“A correlation may exist between the potential passage of gun control legislation,” Homeland Security warned, “and increased hoarding of ammunition, weapons stockpiling, and paramilitary training activities among rightwing extremists.”

So, if you believe that the Democrats in Washington may pass laws limiting the availability of guns or ammunition, and you consequently buy guns or ammunition before they make it illegal to do so, you are a “rightwing extremist.”

Or my neighbor.

Or me.

Because I find that the Democrats’ profile of a potential threat to national security sounds amazingly like a Republican. And this bulletin sounds amazingly like the Democrats using the power of law enforcement to attack and suppress their political opponents.

The same party that complained when Homeland Security tapped the phone calls of foreign Muslim terrorists is now using Homeland Security to defame and investigate conservative American Republicans.

I can’t decide if that is more reminsicent of the Gestapo or the KGB. All I know is that it isn’t American.

Especially since it targets veterans.

Another personality type the brown shirts see as potential “rightwing extremists” – combat veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan.

That’s right. The men and women who volunteered to defend our country in a time of war, the ones who you and I welcome with open arms and parades, the thought police are suspicious of them.

I’m not sure what prejudice of the liberal mind it is that makes Democrats mistrust veterans, but it’s about to elevate the best among us to the watch list.

So I’m coming clean.

I want to save the Democrats the trouble of tapping my phone.

I am a veteran who is opposed to abortion and illegal immigration. I drive a four-wheel-drive American-made pick-up truck and it has an NRA sticker in the window. There’s also an American flag and a magnetic Army ribbon and a sticker from a private Christian college.

I’m as rightwing extremist as it gets.

And so are most of the people I know.

And it’s too bad the government has decided that we’re the enemy. It’s too bad the new president and his comrades in the Congress are trying to use the police as their political enforcers.

Speaking of the police, I’m surprised they weren’t included in the profile.

Do we have the guts to do it?

Short version ... NO

Long version ... Some of us do, but it would take 20-40 million doing it to have an impact as well as provide a buffer. They cannot imprison 30 million of us.

just don't feel like working anymore.

You lose most of your earnings anyway. Is it really worth the additional effort?

People would be surprised to find out that both parents working actually cost them more than it would if only one member was working.
This is a dirty little secret no one in Washington wants to bring a parents attention to.

I recommend reading it, and have a good “brain filter” on for the blatant nasty racism in it.

Impossible. I saw a copy once and couldn't even make it through the synopsis on the back cover. It's shameful.

No we had Easter dinner with a friend who is a contractor and he told us about it. This is my research. I posted the link to the IRS at the bottom sorry you didn’t make it that far.
Certain types of barter are taxable!

It’s pretty harsh, but let me tell you the parts that were prescient -

The government used the accusation of racism to crack down on ANY dissent to its march to tyranny.
Different rules, both stated and unstated were established for minorities than for whites.
Demands for prosecution of the crimes committed by minorities were instantly “racism” and would probably get you incarcerated.

See Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson for “real life” agenda that matches this.

I agree with you, time to starve the beast....put off that large purchase, work as little overtime as possible, and look for other ways to deny them the cash assets they need to continue their little vote buying programs ( remember to be 100% legal about everything you do ) I like what I read on another thread about stockton california cutting police officers, and a group of citizens threatening to arm themselves and patrol the streets, THAT has set off a firestorm at city hall...

We had Easter dinner with a friend who is a contractor and this topic came up when we were discussing taxes. Two friends doing favors may or may not be taxable, but my husband exchanging computer work for our friend’s help in building a chicken coop could be.
I came home and looked it up because I could not believe he was right, appears he was.
Sorry about the formatting. I posted a link at the bottom of the article.

What's next - show trials? Parading conservative defendants in leg irons before cameras?

Yeah. Another Freeper referred to it as "Operation Thrift." Just stop feeding Washington. Learn to live on less, legally avoid taxes of any kind, and network with as many like minded people as possible. When like minds get together, anything can get done. Plus, like minded people will teach you how to do things yourself and you'll be so much farther ahead in the long run - tax free.

Apparently, the dims are not satisfied with going after the repubs, now they are going after repub voters. Nice, our government is targeting groups of American citizens who pay their salaries. Cut back where you can, deny them the taxes they desire, become more self reliant, make deals with your neighbors and friends and utilize quiet defiance. Like my four year old tells me “Make me!”

Ok. Fine. Pay him $1 for his labor. Charge him $1 for yours (use cash only). Sheesh!
