What Readers are Saying:

The plan is a discrace! I pay my mortgage and bills on time. I live on a fixed income. I find it tough each month to make ends meet, but do. I did not go out and buy a home I could not afford. No one is helping ME! The Bleeding heart Democrats might as well give the country away. God Bless Rick Santelli!! —Steve

Why wait until July? On Apr 15th REFUSE to file and scare the hell out of them!! Millions of non-filers would bring the system to it’s knees.

I say screw all of them and let’s take this country back!

BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One or two lumps? Two, thank you very much! I love tea Parties. Way to to say it, Mr Santelli and I loved the reaction from the traders!

Unfortunately, dumping tea into any waterway will probably get you arrested for breaking some environmental law. I think millions of people should send a tea bag to the IRS, Congress and the White House on April 15.

Or we should just grab a Congressman or Senator and teabag him...

Hell there is an even better way and you don't have to wait till April and it legal.

Change your W-4s and add every legal deduction you can on it which drops the amount of tax withheld. Get everyone you know to do the same.

That immediately slows the flow of cash that goes to Washington.

Be happy too, but Lipton tea started out in Glasgow, Scotland, and sold primarily in Britain. I don’t want to use a tea originally out of a British Isle for a Boston Tea Party, Chicago style. So, we have to think of a purely American tea company to get the tea from. Hmmm, have to work on this. Anyone have ideas as to an American tea company?

The Boston Tea Party was about a Tax that was placed on Tea which was IMPORTED into the USA by Britain.

So using any tea will work being its mostly all imported.

Anyway, A & P

Nearly 150 years ago, The Great American Tea Company opened a store on Vesey Street in New York City and began selling tea, coffee and spices at value prices. Soon stores sprung up all around the metropolitan area and salesmen took their wares to the road in horse-drawn carriages bound for New England, the mid-west and the south.

In 1869 the Company was renamed the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, in honor of the first transcontinental railroad and hopes of expanding across the continent. [snip]
