(IsraelNN.com) At least four Katyusha rockets hit northwestern Israel several minutes ago, east of Nahariya. The IDF has been on alert for rocket fire from Hizbullah and is investigating areas of Thursday morning's blasts.
Two peple were lightly injured from scattered debris, and the Home Front Command has ordered residents to enter shelters.
Hizbullah has smuggled from Syria three times more rockets than it possessed before the Second Lebanon War two years ago. It has not taken responsibility for the rocket attacks, which may have been initiated by another terrorist group with the approval of Hizbullah.
In the south, sirens warning of incoming Hamas rockets were sounded several minutes ago in Ashdod and Ashdod, and police are investigating the points of impact.
More victims of Zionist aggression. /s

I’d like to go on the record expressing my contempt for the peace-keeping operation in Southern Lebanon. Let’s recall the last demands for a cease-fire, ones that assured Israel they had nothing to worry about, because Hizbullah would not be allowed to rearm.
Now Israel is being trashed for defending itself, and another cease-fire is being demanded out of it. And of course Hizbullah has more munitions than ever before. The U.N. is a morally bankrupt front organization for terrorism. It’s is the leading enabler of terrorists on the planet. It is an organization that is as illegitimate as the terrorist organizations it fronts for.
The United Nations is a contemptible enterprise. The European Union is nearly as bad. This time around they are showing at least some understanding of Israel’s plight, but it’s essentially too little too late.
Perhaps it’s time for Israel to make a preemptive strike in Southern Lebanon. And this time, they should be absolutely ruthless with no holds barred.
This could get ugly quick.

A typical result from Israel caving in to a temporary cease fire. All it accomplished was allowing Hamas a few hours to set up some launch sites, probably by moving launchers around with UN marked ambulances, or some other- "civillian" one moment, Hamas terrorist the next- donkey carts, pretending to be hauling "humanitarian supplies", eg machine guns, ammo, and rockets.
Isreal should just flatten the place and force all those so called 'palestinians' back to where they came from, syria, Jordan etc.

great post — the way that Lebanon was allowed to fester after the fraudulent cease-fire in 2006 is outrageous.
I also blame Olmert and Israeli leadership for botching their chance to really dismantle Hezbullah, though — they knew that under almost any scenario they only had a few weeks to do the job, yet they dithered and dallied until the “international pressure” built up and the Israeli domestic support faded.

Good point. In late 68 we had a SOG recon team capture a 122 mm rocket intact from the mid west part of our AO. It was taken to Saigon and test fired into reinforced concrete.
If I recall the report half ass, it penetraated 6 plus feet of solid reinforced concrete. So, think what those civilians in Israel are facing. It took an SF engineer/demo man and 32 montagnards days to build an underground bumker/TOC that would withstand that kind of direct hit. So, those who feel sorry for Hamas’s cowards who fire 122’s at Israel’s cities- need to stop whining, as those new bombs are much more accurate then a 122mm rocket aimed at a city. A 122mm rocket might hit anywhere. What home in this country could withstand that?
Although Hamas most assuredly used the ceasefire to regroup, these four rockets came out of southern Lebanon.
They've been under attack as far back as I can remember, and everytime its the same - not one damn word from UN observers other than every movement the Israelis make, and then demands for a cease fire whenever the hizzies or hamas run out of rockets or kids. I lost my pic from 2006 of the hizzie flag flying right next to the UN flag on the UN observation post when my computer crashed, but I'm sure many saw the same pic and other evidence that the UN supplies intel, transportation, cover and deception. I just pray the Israelis realize how criticaly important an overwhelming victory before 1/20 is.

There were incidents reported that BM-21 launchers were used against American forces during 2003 invasion of Iraq. They have also been used in the Afghanistan and Iraq insurgencies. Actually the MSM have been vociferous regarding Israeli casualties in support of their ‘proportionality’ bleating. I thimk they currently have it at 11.
122’s are not very accurate. Yet, if you fire them at a major city, they will land somewhere. They might hit the road, the outhouse, a school house, your house, or land in the back yard. Tell me if you want them aimed at a major city in the USA? I do not not. Why should Israel have to tolerate them?
Exploding 122s were very loud but hardly even damaged the fencing.
We always had launch watchers in towers and a O-6 LOH with a door gunner with an M-60 on fast response. Killed a lot of PAVN/VC rocket teams.

Sorry. It could be a million Muslims for every one Israeli or American and I still wouldn't give a rat's petuddy how many Muslims were being exterminated.
But that's just me. I stopped paying much attention to the MSM a long time ago where such matters are concerned. I believe our nation would be much better off if everyone did the same.

Drop flyers into Southern Lebanon, letting the people know that within 12 hours their land is going to be turned into glass unless they move north.
