This is getting "interesting". Both Hzb'allah and Hamas are Iranian puppets.
T'were I Israel, I'd be sure that all the Patriot and Arrow missile sites were up and hot.

I’d like to go on the record expressing my contempt for the peace-keeping operation in Southern Lebanon. Let’s recall the last demands for a cease-fire, ones that assured Israel they had nothing to worry about, because Hizbullah would not be allowed to rearm.
Now Israel is being trashed for defending itself, and another cease-fire is being demanded out of it. And of course Hizbullah has more munitions than ever before. The U.N. is a morally bankrupt front organization for terrorism. It’s is the leading enabler of terrorists on the planet. It is an organization that is as illegitimate as the terrorist organizations it fronts for.
The United Nations is a contemptible enterprise. The European Union is nearly as bad. This time around they are showing at least some understanding of Israel’s plight, but it’s essentially too little too late.
Perhaps it’s time for Israel to make a preemptive strike in Southern Lebanon. And this time, they should be absolutely ruthless with no holds barred.

"At least four Katyusha rockets hit northwestern Israel several minutes ago, east of Nahariya." A typical result from Israel caving in to a temporary cease fire. All it accomplished was allowing Hamas a few hours to set up some launch sites, probably by moving launchers around with UN marked ambulances, or some other- "civillian" one moment, Hamas terrorist the next- donkey carts, pretending to be hauling "humanitarian supplies", eg machine guns, ammo, and rockets.
Isreal should just flatten the place and force all those so called 'palestinians' back to where they came from, syria, Jordan etc.

ugly as wiki is; Katyusha rocket launcher http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katyusha Katyusha multiple rocket launchers (Russian: Катюша) are a type of rocket artillery originally built and fielded by the Soviet Union in the Second World War. Compared to other types of artillery, such multiple rocket launchers are able to deliver a devastating amount of explosives to an area target more quickly but with lower accuracy and requiring a longer time to reload. These vehicles are fragile compared to conventional artillery guns, but relatively inexpensive and easy to produce. Katyushas of World War II, the first self-propelled artillery mass-produced by the Soviet Union,[1] were usually mounted on trucks. This mobility gives Katyushas (and other self-propelled artillery) another advantage: they are able to deliver a blow all at once, and then move before the other side is able to locate their position and attack it with counter-battery fire.

Israel captured BM-24 MRLs during the Six-Day War (1967), used them in two battalions during the Yom Kippur War (1973) and the 1982 Lebanon War, and later developed the MAR-240 launcher for the same rockets, based on a Sherman tank chassis. During the 2006 Lebanon War, Hezbollah fired between 3,970 and 4,228 rockets, from light truck-mounts and single-rail man-portable launchers. About 95% of these were 122 mm (4.8 in) Syrian-manufactured Katyusha artillery rockets, which carried warheads up to 30 kg (66 lb) and had a range of up to 30 km (19 mi).[12][13] An estimated 23% of these rockets hit built-up areas, primarily civilian in nature.[14][12][15]
There were incidents reported that BM-21 launchers were used against American forces during 2003 invasion of Iraq. They have also been used in the Afghanistan and Iraq insurgencies. In Iraq, according to Associated Press and Agence France-Presse reports, Katyusha rockets were fired at the Green Zone late March 2008.[16][17]

Harry S. Truman said the use of atomic weapons on Japan was necessary for two reasons. It would save many lives as the second reason, the war would end rather quickly when the US demonstrated the power of the bomb. I believe Israel should consider use of the bomb, and soon. I would suggest inside of twelve days....

Just flashed on the bottom of my TV screen (on FNC): "Hezbollah denies firing rockets."

Enjoy the party Mr. President-elect, you go live on 1/21/09.
All your lefty supporters fully expect you to pull the rug out from under Israel, because you led them to believe so during the election.

Israelis need to go back to the blitzkrieg (irony of ironies) tactics that won them the 1956, 1967, and 1973 wars. 360 degree envelopment, flank, surround, and annihilate the enemy - Hisbollah and Hamas.
To: mojitojoe
(IsraelNN.com) At least four Katyusha rockets hit northwestern Israel several minutes ago, east of Nahariya. The IDF has been on alert for rocket fire from Hizbullah and is investigating areas of Thursday morning's blasts. Too bad there were no 155mm batteries on standby for counterbattery fire.
