A familiar McCain back on old stomping ground [barf] [RINO Hispandering alert]

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), fresh off his disappointing bid for the White House, returned to a familiar role in the Senate on Wednesday, shaking up his own party and reaching across the aisle to Democrats.

Also, FTA:

Prior to his presidential run, McCain had rattled many in his party by striking deals with Democrats on contentious matters. That included his work with Feingold on the landmark campaign finance law that bears their name, and a failed attempt with Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) to pass legislation that would have put millions of illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship.

On the second day of the 111th Congress, McCain touched those raw nerves again while embarking on the next chapter in his well-documented political career.

At the all-day, private GOP meeting at the Library of Congress, McCain told colleagues their poor image among Hispanics, which he attributed to bitter intra-party squabbles over immigration reform, dealt his campaign a devastating blow.

“He talked about his own race and the devastating loss of Hispanic voters and how that arose on the rhetoric on immigration,” said a Senate Republican who attended the meeting.

A Republican senator who attended the meeting said that McCain emphasized the importance of healing the rift with Hispanics by talking about immigration reform in a “positive” way. McCain also discussed the importance of expanding the size of the party’s tent by appealing to young voters.

McCain is an idiot.

So what now, is lord McCain planning to bailout illegals? Isn’t this about the same means and methods as liberals use to get elected, pay to play/pray?

I received email from McCain today asking me to join his new ‘grassroots organization’ called “Country First” to help ‘better define our Republican ideals and message.’ Like he knows something about Republican ideals and message.

McCain should start a new part with Joe Lieberman. Bloomdogle, Arnold, etc. could join. That would get rid of the non conservatives (called here RINOs) and the moderate dems. That would leave the dems with leftits. The dems can’t win without moderates. They can’t run those people or on that platform (granted, obama is left, but he ran, after the primaries, as a moderate. in the future someone like him would have to choose before the primaries. he would never have been elected. he was put in by the left and then turned moderate at the right time to win the general). The republican party could be entirely conservative/libertarian then. The republican party doesn’t have to be moderate to win, it wins when it’s conservative (not pseudo, as shown this past election ala McCain, despite Palin best efforts).

In sum, let McCain and his buddy start a new party with Bloomturd and Arnold, etc. so that they take the DNC down and the GOP becomes a conservative powerhouse.

Happiness means never having to say you voted for McCain. Or, “Don’t blame me, I wrote in Duncan Hunter.” The only good news about a bitter Obama victory is that it was accompanied by a sweet McCain defeat.

That's funny, according to your RINO pals it was the selection of Sarah Palin that was a devestating blow to your campaign. You wannabe lefties just can't seem to get your stories straight.

I’m no conspiracy theorist, but I could swear he was put up to fail in his campaign. How in the hell could we nominate such a disaster as our candidate?

What???!!! McCain's a screwball. Immigration reform was never an issue doing the campaign. Neither candidate addressed it nor did it come up in the debates.

Neither candidate addressed it nor did it come up in the debates.

That's because Obama and McCain were in full agreement on the matter.
