He said he would involve former Vice President Al Gore in efforts to address the issue. "I would tap him, I would tap people who have been involved in these issues for many years." McCain noted that he disagreed with the Nobel Peace Prize winner about nuclear energy but added, "I have great respect for Al Gore."

Please John, just STFU!!! I can’t believe I sent this guy money. If not for Sarah.....
He is way too nice but he isn’t running against Al Gore. I’d tap Gore too. Not in a nice way though.
McCain is determined to commit suicide
Vote for McCain, Hope for Palin
I’m starting to wonder if McCain is entirely stable.
“McCain is determined to commit suicide”
Obama is very beatable. Unfortunately John seems to be unable to mount a good campaign. Its getting painful to watch him.
I have great respect for Al. He’s smarter than Joe Biden.
Its getting really hard to vote for this guy. Next thing ya know he’ll be suspending his campaign to help Al Gore elminate oil use in the next 10 years.
“I have great respect for Al Gore,” McCain said.
Upon hearing that, Gore observed “He’s even dumber than I’ve thought.”
Don’t get it - he has a great chance on winning because of Sarah - and now he, again, speaks so highly of those ‘across the aisle’.
I’d love to hear what great respect he has for Bush and Cheney. His kiss up is nauseating. Moreso, for a man who claims to have drank too much ice tea as a cover for him speaking truth.
McCain seems like he is trying to lose.
The crazy part is that due to the weakness of the Democrat nominee, he just might not succeed.
He is trying to lose. That is all I can figure out.
It’s liberal democrat versus moderate democrat. I cringe.
Hey John, you’re not helping...
He is fishing for votes.
That’s what you do in a close election, especially when you are courting Hillary voters who may have a soft spot for Gore.
Too bad McCain doesn’t have any respect for conservatives. I guess he’s fresh out.
To all the McCain supports here. John is an idiot.
Firing up the base.
McCain is a complete and utter joke. This is the last time we should let the media decide our nominee for us.
I’m thinking it’s part of the game. He’s trying to win the independents so that he actually has a shot at this.
I like what John said Monday on Fox & Friends about why congress needs to pass the bailout bill against the voters wishes.
He said that voters don’t understand the issues as they are too complex. But we understand the issues and know what is the right course.
If McCain keeps moving to the left he will lose the base, Sarah or no Sarah.
I lost respect for him when he voted for the bailout.
If McCain were to pretend to himself that Zero was a conservative Republican, he might actually start trying to win this election.
McAIN IS A FREAKIN’ IDIOT!!!
His cabinet will consist of Cuomo, Gore and Lieberman among others? I could almost stomach Lieberman but somebody needs to tell John to STFU!!!
He’s not trying to lose, he’s going for his precious moderates, ignore him, we’ll crush any Global Warming bill like we crushed Immigration.
Vote PALIN.

If it were a race between Al Gore, John Kerry, and Barack Obama, Obama would be my 3rd choice.
It’s high time for a cleansing.
You are correct.

No question that no matter what happens a liberal is in office and conservatives lose. The question is a moderate liberal or a nutjob off the reservation socialist. So we are forced to go the route of the lesser of two evils.
That seems to be the only answer. Could his years of being tortured made such a mark on him that he feels he needs to be submissive to his real enemies?
Give the non stop nit picking a ten minute REST !
What is hs supposed to say, “i hate HIM” !
the over top crying and carrying on about saying something nice by McCain is toxic level now.
Your the same MCCain haters that SCREAM about him having a wild temper too !
McKook strikes again.
An enema would be just the ticket.
First of all, this story does not have the correct title of the article.
Secondly, all of the McCain haters just seem to have just glossed over this part:
“McCain said the financial crisis would not alter his campaign promises to keep taxes low or to balance the federal budget by 2013.
“We can balance it by 2013 if we get our economy going again and don’t take measures which will harm our economy,” he said. “It depends on whether we have the will to do so or not and restraint of spending is a huge aspect of this.”
The Arizona senator, who often talks about the importance of a strong dollar, said he would do what he could to bolster the U.S. currency but declined to speculate about intervention.
“The first step that has to be taken is obviously we have to stop mortgaging our economy to China ... and asking them to finance our debt,” he said.”
Guess what. He’s throwing away the healthy fish for the three eyed mutants that won’t vote for him anyway. LOL! But hey, whatever makes you feel warm and cozy inside.
Oh no worries....I will only vote for McCain/Palin!
I have no respect for Al Gore Junior. From the PMRC to his back stabbing of Dan Quayle to his defense of Bill Clinton to his claims of no controlling legal authority and a weak bladder to “everything that is down is up” to “I invented the internet” to this whole myth of man made global warming...
I want this foolish college dropout stoner defamed as Senator Joseph McCarthy was wrongfully discredited.
I am really hoping that you’re right and this is just a vote-fishing strategy. One of those sorts of comments where “my esteemed colleague” = “that jerk over there.”
But knowing McCain’s position on climate change, I have a nagging feeling that his respect for Gore is too great for comfort...
Anybody who can say all the stupid sh*t he does and keep a straight face oughtta be able to clean up at high-stakes poker!
Some of the people McCain ‘respects’ really bothers me...Kennedy...Clinton....now Gore? The only person in this race who doesn’t live in a politically controlled bubble is Sarah Palin. Or at least she was if they haven’t ruined her already.
It isn’t gore’s stance of finances that scare me, it is “conceding” the issue that Ameirca is “to blame” for “global warming” and “weather trends” and the notion that we must all invest in bogus “carbon offsets”, pay higher sin taxes, and give up our own air conditioning units and traditional light bulbs and toilets.
I was not going to vote this year but have changed my mind and now will vote for Sarah Palin.
I think that McCain knows this and is using her to keep us true conservatives in line while he goes after the soft center.
I don't like it but I understand.
Sure he’s stable. This is what John McCain has been as long as he has been on the public scene. He was the only Republican in the Keating Five debacle. He seems to author leftist bills with Democrats. He owns Democrat’s core beliefs on a number of issues.
This is John McCain, pure and simple. I know a lot of us wish he was otherwise. He just isn’t.
If you think it’s bad now, just wait until he’s in charge.
Yes, I realize Obama is worse. This is the worst political choice I’ve ever been faced with. Period!
