That would indeed be wonderful, and almost unimaginable.

Think about why these indictments were announced NOW. Why didn’t Fitz & co. wait until Blag. had ensnared more people in his bidding process and then announced a pick for Senate? This is more likely to be damage-control than a step in a process which will lead to Obama.

We have no idea what information they have. Just because they have released what they did today doesn’t mean that’s the full extent of information. Today they told us what they wanted to.

I think the house of cards start falling quickly. There are pretty nervous people right now. I’m sure everytime their phone rings a little chill goes up their spine.

This is not the end of the story (at least that’s my opinion).

I can’t get past his hair. Is it a wig?

How can he look in the mirror and not take it off, one way or the other.

Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr

Perhaps Jesse was going to hit up his "brother" for a cabinet post for Guv in exchange for his becoming Senator. But not exactly sure O would benefit.

IMHO, JJJ was offering Blago the big $$$$ for the senate seat. He was not on 0’s short list, again JMO.

0’s pick was Jarrett, until on or about 11/11/08.

I know. Imagine if this and the Mumbai thing had happened from say 9/15 to 10/15 instead of the Lehman.AIG.Fannie/bailout/market collapse endless string of bad economic news.

Ah well.

What happened from sep-oct was simply the worst news ever to affect a presidential campaign. the first time since the Depression that in the period from Labor Day to the election unemployment increased, the stock market decreased, and the economy contracted all at the same time time.

Now some of the stuff that could have helped McCain(focus on terrorism, Chicago corruption, etc..,)comes out.

Oh well. Time to regroups and focus on 2010 and 2012, a lot can happen in 2 to 4 years.

In case the PDF of the complaint mysteriously vanishes from the web, I have put it up on my page as well. You can view it there or download it.

I will be putting up the original change.gov pages today as well. (The ones before it got scrubbed.)
