Top Astronaut: 'Aliens Do Exist'

11:37am UK, Thursday July 24, 2008 Aliens do exist and have even contacted humans on Earth, according to top astronaut Dr Edgar Mitchell who was the sixth man on the Moon. l-alien

Dr Edgar Mitchell says aliens are just like little men

The truth has been hidden by governments for more than 60 years, the Moon walker says.

And he claims he is lifting the lid on a conspiracy to keep aliens a secret.

Dr Mitchell, who was on Apollo 14 in 1971, has told how he was aware of many UFO visits to Earth during his career with Nasa but each one was covered up.

The 77-year-old claims the space agency made contact with aliens, describing the beings as "little people who look strange to us".

Scary, isn’t it? All of a sudden, it makes sense! He IS the one we’ve been waiting for, we just didn’t realize that he was the anti-Christ (well, OK, actually, a lot of us have been thinking he might be...).

Did you see any of his speech in Berlin today? He does seem to be running for King of the World. Creepy!

As big as the universe is, it would be hard seeing us as the only planet with life.

The “alien” question isn’t really whether or not intelligent life exists or has existed elsewhere in the universe. It very likely does, given the sheer expanse of space and time.

The question is whether or not some alien intelligence exists, and has upended all known laws of physics to enable them to travel willy nilly between stars and galaxies (and by extension through time) to come visit us and anally probe our midwestern farmers.

I’m very doubtful of the second point, but willing to accept it given some verifiable proof. All I’ve seen so far are heresay and websites on the internet.

Bill Nye “The Science Guy?” has about as much credibilty as Mister Rogers or NPR’s Mister Science (I have a Master’s degree in Science and I know more than you do). His so-called refutations consisted solely of appeals to authority (mainstream science does not support it, so it can’t be true) and outright denial of the evidence.(Yes they captured something on film, but is it a UFO?)

If I was Nye, I’d be ashamed of my performance.

The hubris, arrogance, and presumption of Obama is beyond belief! He is over there speaking to citizens of another country, as if he has already been elected and already represents the citizens and government of the U.S.

And let's face it, even if he somehow does manage to get elected, he will NEVER represent the citizens of this country, its values, traditions, etc.

There was an interesting book written by an engineer that actually patented a device he derived from the description in Ezekiel. I thought he made a damn good case for a spaceship explanation.

I'm just going to hope that he is abducted or taken out by Quix's aliens.

I have an open mind. A rational mind. A mind that tells me that I haven't seen any evidence of ET's for myself. What I have seen throughout life are people shopping this garbage around in the same zealous fashion that they nowadays shop the "global warming" scam on us.

They wanna sell books. They wanna sell magazines. They wanna sell videos. They wanna get hits for their web sites. They want us to believe that there are "blues" and "greys" and one (supposedly) captured alien likes Japanese music and strawberry ice cream.

And there's never a shortage of highly suggestive people willing to shill for them.

And as for Mitchell, big frickin' whoop. Just because he's been to the moon doesn't mean he has unassailable credentials, that he isn't now suffering from senility or a case of "publicity whoredom". Let's see the concrete EVIDENCE.

I used to enjoy reading this flying-saucer stuff. I was in college when “Chariots Of The Gods?” came out and attended a lecture given by one of the top UFOlogists (Stanton or something?). Anywho, this loony crap no longer interests me, but some of the nutjobs on this thread are a hoot.

Please, spare me the lecture. One only needs some common sense to refute the allegations.

Lets see. Your argument seems to be predicated upon certain assumptions.

The universe is what, 15~20 BILLION years old. Our very own little planet is 4.5 BILLION years old. Yet humans, the ones we call "modern man" have only been walking this earth for some 70 thousand years (Mitochondrial Eve ).

But you're assuming (it seems to me) that other life would have the same developmental time lines as us.

But What if, their planet is say, .5~1 BILLION years older. What if their evolutionary development had tens (of thousands) or hundreds (of thousands), even a million years head start on us? Given the exponential rate of technological advancement we've seen in just the last 200 years here, what would a civilization be able to do with even just a thousand year head start?

As far as I'm concerned, we've only just begun to scratch the surface of science and physics and cosmology (et al). What we don't know could probably dwarf what we do know.

So, while I can understand our minds wanting to frame the discussion with a very human and Earth bound frame of reference, I don't consider it outside the realm of possibility that some ancient alien race has risen before us and has conquered far greater scientific challenges than we can now envision.

And who's to say whether or not some alien race just passing through our little backwater part of the Milky Way, didn't pick up on said radio signals, or, probably more of a signal like, uncontrolled nuclear fission (Trinity), taking place in our atmo, and take a detour to check it out.

Hey if it were me, I'd probably stop by to see what all the hub bub was about.

1. Stanton Friedman handily shreds the Drake equation. See his website.

The Drake Equation is meaningless nonsense.

If they do exist, they’re demonically derived.

Wha?

What is creepy, and what will be the sure sign of actual antiChrist rather than merely 'spirit of' will be the response of crowds to the empty rhetoric of antiChrist. He will be able to speak nonsense and it will be hailed as astonishing truth ... wait! Oh my gosh, what are we witnessing????

On a serious note, there are people so lost to reality that they hear Obama make sounds and they assume he is issuing 'truth for the ages', but too many are aware that he is an empty suit for him to be antiChrist. The real anti will be 'touched with demonic brilliance' and not appear to be an empty suit to so many.

One last point: IF--and this is a big 'if'--alien life comes out into the open to proclaim themselves to humankind AND these ETs are the actual demons spoken of in the Bible, the end times will be upon us because it will mean that God is no longer 'binding them from having power over men'. On a non-biblical note, if aliens come out into the open and proclaim themselves openly, it will also be the end of times of humankind prior to the 'great leap' which will follow such a revelation that we are not the sole intelligent species in the physical universe and that there is a fact about spacetime which we have missed prior to the revelation, since these aliens are 'from' somewhere and got here somehow outside of the limitations we have heretofore assumed to exist.

I am not a believer. I listen to Coast and read these alien invasion threads because aliens are exceedingly popular and so many claim personal contact and project so much onto them.

Fact is, if there are space aliens, they would view us as the space aliens, and dangerous on top of that.

That is precisely why I said creepy, without elaborating as you did.

"Scripture says this first beast will set himself up in direct opposition to Christ, falsely pledging to give Israel the land, bringing about peace for the first three and one half years of the tribulation period. For this reason, many evangelicals believe this first beast to be the Antichrist."

"The description of the first beast - especially the ten horns and seven heads - has led many to conclude that the first beast will be a political leader. He will achieve worldwide control through his plan for peace. This ruler will be in this position for the entire seven year tribulation period."

Creepiness factor is high.
