RUTH DAVIDSON IS the leader of the Scottish Conservatives. Last night, Davidson, who is engaged to Wexford woman Jen Wilson, announced that she was off for two weeks and bid farewell to her followers with a suggestive photo of Gillian Anderson. “Right, I’m off for a fortnight,” she wrote. “In the mean time, here’s @GillianA just sitting round the house in stilettos & seamed stockings. As you do.”

When Fox Television ran the “reboot” of the X-Files this winter I will confess that I was completely enthralled. Yes, I was a fan boy. I loved the original series, even in the seasons when Duchovny had grown sick of his job and disappeared for extended periods, ostensibly having been abducted by aliens. (Sorry for the spoilers to any of you tuning in after emerging from a time machine.) I even liked the movies. And the six part mini-series (now known as “Season 10”) back in January and Februrary was a great trip down memory lane which they clearly pumped...

  • More X-Files? Fox Exec Says No Plans Yet, But Would Love to Do More

'The X-Files' reboot has been a major success for Fox, but will there be more episodes after the event series wraps this upcoming Monday? While there are no firm plans at this time for a second round of episodes, with the ratings proof, Fox execs are undoubtedly discussing the possibility of ordering more episodes. Plus, the network has been promoting Monday's finale as the season finale - not the series finale. We said before it aired that we would love to do more, and we are over the moon with the performance. So far, the response has been really encouraging,...

We are three episodes into the new six episode reboot of "The X-Files," one of the past's best TV shows. At this point I have to wonder: What the Heck is going on? Mr. Duchovney's performance is so bland and so flacid that I have to wonder what is going through his mind. No energy. Reads his lines like a telephone robocall. Looks tired and bored. The plot lines are tired and the last episode featuring a "wearhuman" was so stupid and badly written I thought it was a put-on. Bad plot, bad costume, bad writing, boring and nonsensical. And...
  • Fox's X-Files revival has controversial new theories (based on Alex Jones)

The truth has never been more out there. Fox’s upcoming and eagerly awaited revival of The X-Files is updating its conspiracy theories — only this time, the sci-fi series might cause more controversy than when the show told tales of government-aided UFO cover-ups during its initial 1990s run.RELATED: X-Files Returns: EW Exclusive PhotosIn the first return episode screened for reporters (trailer below), paranormal investigators Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) team up with a charming web-series host named Tad O’Malley (played by the usually comedic Joel McHale, here in a dramatic role). The character, loosely based on conservative online personalities Alex Jones and...

Now, as Obama is leaving office, and one of his main advisers is an open proponent for UFO disclosure we have articles coming out from the CIA on "flying saucer" investigation and "X-files"???? Not bad for an agency that is not involved or interested. As the CIA works for the President, maybe we need to thank Obama and Podesta for this as this administration winds down. The CIA would not make such a bold move without the green light from the White House as the President is ultimately responsible for what the CIA says. https://www.cia.gov/about-cia/todays-cia/what-we-do ... - We're too late! It's already been here. - Mulder, I hope you know what you're doing. - Look, Scully, just like the other homes: Douglas fir, truncated, mounted, transformed into a shrine; halls decked with boughs of holly; stockings hung by the chimney, with care. - You really think someone's been here? - Someone or some THING. - Mulder, over here - it's a fruitcake. - Don't touch it! Those things can be lethal. - It's O.K. There's a note attached: "Gonna find out who's naughty and nice." - It's judging them, Scully. It's making a list. - Who?...

At the beginning of the new "X-Files" miniseries, two old characters can be seen exchanging some fresh banter. "It's always good to see you," Gillian Anderson’s Dana Scully says to her former partner. "It's always good to find a reason," replies Fox Mulder, the truth-seeker played by David Duchovny. That spirit of reunion might also be applied to the larger "The X-Files." The landmark series returns to Fox for six episodes beginning Jan. 24, nearly 14 years after the show was last on TV.

Agent Reyes first appeared on "The X-Files" during the show's eighth season. A friend of Agent John Doggett (Robert Patrick), who had been assigned to the X-Files following Mulder's (David Duchovny) disappearance, Reyes eventually joined Doggett as his partner in investigating strange cases. ... Besides Reyes, the list of characters confirmed to return for an appearance in the "X-Files" event series so far includes the Lone Gunmen (Dean Haglund, Tom Braidwood and Bruce Harwood), Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi) and the Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis).

The first teaser for the new "X-Files" reboot offers a quick glimpse at the reboot along with some nostalgia and the assertion that "the truth is in there." While we've seen a few behind-the-scenes shots from the set of the forthcoming "X-Files" reboot, heard about Gillian Anderson's challenge in "waking up" Scully and even seen David Duchovny tear up over the "fantastic script," we haven't seen much in the way of a preview of the six-episode series due to air on the Fox network in January. Tuesday, with the release of the first official teaser for the show, that doesn't...

It’s been more than 13 years since “The X-Files” aired on network TV, but on Tuesday Fox announced the spooky sci-fi series is returning for a six-episode run that will begin in the summer of 2015. “The X-Files,” which originally premiered in Sept. 1993, aired for nine seasons and earned 16 Emmy nominations during its run. The series centered on FBI agents Scully, played by Gillian Anderson, and Mulder, played by David Duchovny. Both stars will be reprising their roles for the reboot. “I think of it as a 13-year commercial break,” said Chris Carter, creator and executive producer of...

Fox has confirmed that it is in talks to revive its iconic supernatural horror procedural, The X-Files. Speaking Saturday at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, Fox TV executives Dana Walden and Gary Newman said they've been in talks not only with series creator Chris Carter, but stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, about the show's revival. Discussions to date have not been creative in nature but logistical; with Carter, Duchovny and Anderson all busy with their own projects, the biggest obstacle facing the reboot could be finding a time frame during which all three are free. Here's Walden:
