It’s been more than 13 years since “The X-Files” aired on network TV, but on Tuesday Fox announced the spooky sci-fi series is returning for a six-episode run that will begin in the summer of 2015. “The X-Files,” which originally premiered in Sept. 1993, aired for nine seasons and earned 16 Emmy nominations during its run. The series centered on FBI agents Scully, played by Gillian Anderson, and Mulder, played by David Duchovny. Both stars will be reprising their roles for the reboot. “I think of it as a 13-year commercial break,” said Chris Carter, creator and executive producer of...

Fox has confirmed that it is in talks to revive its iconic supernatural horror procedural, The X-Files. Speaking Saturday at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, Fox TV executives Dana Walden and Gary Newman said they've been in talks not only with series creator Chris Carter, but stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, about the show's revival. Discussions to date have not been creative in nature but logistical; with Carter, Duchovny and Anderson all busy with their own projects, the biggest obstacle facing the reboot could be finding a time frame during which all three are free. Here's Walden:

Twenty years ago tonight, I sat down on the couch in my little apartment in Ogden, KS, and flipped on the TV to watch the debut of a new show. The promotion blitz for the show had been dark and mysterious, and apart from some vague references to UFOs and the FBI, gave little idea as to what the show was actually going to be about. It had piqued my interest, as it was no doubt intended to do, and I figured with much of my life still ahead of me, I could spare an hour to check it...

A newly declassified CIA history from 20 years ago spills the story about Nevada's Area 51 and its secret mission — which was not to study UFOs, but to test the U-2 and other spy planes. The CIA's story about the legendary test site is contained in "The Central Intelligence Agency and Overhead Reconnaissance: the U-2 and Oxcart Programs." The document was approved for release in June, with just a few remaining redactions, in response to a Freedom of Information request filed by George Washington University's National Security Archive back in 2005.

Conspiracy theorists might wonder why Jesse Ventura took time Friday to talk with the Star Tribune for the first time since he left office in 2003. Common folk might suggest it was simply to gin up publicity for his new book, "American Conspiracies." If you buy that obvious reasoning, you might also believe Sirhan Sirhan acted alone, that the CIA wasn't involved at Jonestown or that the 9/11 terrorist attack was just Osama bin Laden flexing his muscles. Official reports in Britain show that sightings may be as much 'X-Files' as reality. It is one of the most memorable opening sequences on film: A small craft is being pursued through outer space by a massive triangular vessel, which passes over viewers' heads with a roar that made audiences at screenings of "Star Wars," in 1977, feel something like dolphins submerged under a passing aircraft carrier. So powerful was the image that it may have haunted some viewers' dreams -- or waking visions. We were reminded of this scene on Thursday when the British government released its fifth and...

The economy's growth has never before been so driven by real estate. Now that engine is sputtering. Jiany Massad isn't quite ready to throw in the towel on his fledgling career as a Miami real-estate tycoon. But if the local housing market continues to head south, the 30-year-old real-estate broker is already making alternate plans. "I might restart my old business," he says of a home decorating company that specialized in high-end window treatments. "At least it's real-estate-related." With home sales down by nearly a third in Florida last quarter, thousands of those who hoped to cash in on the...
  • The Difference Between Religion And Christianity In America

    08/20/2006 6:32:59 PM PDT · by A Blind Man Who Can See · 24 replies · 1,405+ views
When Jesus was living, he did not align himself with the Jewish religious parties, then called Saducees and Pharisees, nor the secular authorities: King Herod and Rome. He obeyed the Mosaic law and even paid tribute. He told Nicodemus, an old man that he had to be born again to be saved. Jesus meant born spiritually. Jesus preached that this spiritual new baby would be then, dead to the world, living in the world but not of it. He pointed out that worrying about the future was not what a Christian would be doing because tomorrow has enough worries to...

This is different. This post isn't about what I have gleemed from some 'news-source' today. This post is about HOW do you convince your friends, your family .. your loved ones that "There Is A Crisis" in America and that this crisis continues to grow, each and every day..regardless of whether they believe it or not! The only thing that any of them believe in is: Our Government. I would like to give you the whole story, how I have tried and finally given up, given up in trying to convince my family, my loved ones that we are at...

Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America Report to Leaders June 2005 On March 23, 2005, you announced the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America. At that time, you instructed Ministers to create an architecture which would further enhance the security of North America while at the same time promote the economic well-being of our citizens and position North America to face and meet future challenges. This effort builds on the excellent, long-standing relations among our three countries. The response to your request is attached. -snip- The post is too long for full posting. Do not know if anyone...

WASHINGTON – Are secret meetings being held between the corporate and political elites of the U.S., Mexico and Canada to push North America into a European Union-style merger? Is President Bush's reluctance to control the border and enforce laws requiring deportation of foreigners who enter the country illegally part of a master plan to all but eliminate borders between the U.S., Canada and Mexico? Does the agenda of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America include a common currency that would scrap the dollar in favor of what some are calling the "amero"? It may be the biggest story...

Critics have recently argued that plans to form NAFTA Super-Highways in the United States were largely “urban legend” or just pure “hype.” These same critics note that many state departments of transportation are strapped for cash and that states north of Texas have no current plans to build super-highways, extending the Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC) north to Canada. Currently no state except Texas currently has plans to build TTC-like highways, with designs to build transportation corridors up to four football fields-wide that integrate highway toll roads, railroad transportation and utility zones for oil and natural gas pipelines, alongside towers to transmit...

Chalk it up to tradition, fate or a higher power. Whatever it was, Marybeth D'Amico got her wish when she threw a coin over her shoulder into Rome's Trevi Fountain on her 28th birthday. On June 21 D'Amico's first child — Clara Nicole D'Amico — was born at New Milford Hospital. The little girl, who weighed 7 pounds, 5½ ounces at birth, joins three previous generations of her family with the same June 21 birthday: her mother, Marybeth, who's 29; grandmother Kathleen Garofalo, who's 58; and Marybeth's father's mother, Helen Garofalo, who's 87. You read that right. The four...

It seems our government has decided to take down the SPP Website in recent days. Is it a coincidence that it was taken down around the time Jerome Corsi published this article titled North American Union to Replace USA? on the Human Events Online website??

The actress - who is best known for playing Agent Dana Scully in the cult US TV show - and photojournalist and filmmaker Julian Ozanne have called time on their marriage after less than two years. Capital movements due to fears over a possible US-Iran war, financial speculation or market meltdown are driving crude prices upward. Milan (AsiaNews) – Capital movements on commodity exchanges, not low supply are pushing oil prices upward. Brent crude has reached US$ 74 a barrel because of lowered refinery use and a backup in crude inventories that has left many a super tanker waiting to unload. Oil storage has become a problem since facilities are full in the Persian Gulf, Europe, the Americas and even Asia. Even Israel, which built huge embargo-busting oil depots to allow the country to survive every...
