Top Astronaut: 'Aliens Do Exist'

11:37am UK, Thursday July 24, 2008 Aliens do exist and have even contacted humans on Earth, according to top astronaut Dr Edgar Mitchell who was the sixth man on the Moon. l-alien

Dr Edgar Mitchell says aliens are just like little men

The truth has been hidden by governments for more than 60 years, the Moon walker says.

And he claims he is lifting the lid on a conspiracy to keep aliens a secret.

Dr Mitchell, who was on Apollo 14 in 1971, has told how he was aware of many UFO visits to Earth during his career with Nasa but each one was covered up.

The 77-year-old claims the space agency made contact with aliens, describing the beings as "little people who look strange to us".

The “Drake equation”, even being generous, shows that it would take at least 100 galaxies of the same type as ours to produce 1 technological life supporting planet.

OH?

Just what does it take to PRODUCE life?

BEcause

the militarily supported political RELIGIOUS power-mongers meeting in committee several hundred years after Christ

self-servingly decreed so.

And the gullible have been marching lock-step ever since.

it would seem to me that life is likely, but contact with that life is not likely.

Why?

Don’t know what you’re getting at, but I’m a creationist.

IE, “molecules to man” is impossible.

I do believe there is life in space though.

Why?

Why?

Why?

Why?

Why all this 'BELIEF'?

Where is the DATA to support it?

Nor the Dogon of Africa who had a detailed star chart that was laughed at for decades . . . until finally, we developed the telescopes to verify it’s incredible accuracy . . .

I'M "poorly informed"? I hate to break it to you (actually, I don't), but what the Dogon had to say about Sirius was known to western science for well over 50 years prior to their first encounter with Marcel Griaule and Germaine Dieterlen in 1931, when the whole "Dogon Mystery" got its start, and it is entirely plausible that someone communicated that information to them before Marcel and Germaine showed up.

Maybe you should have a look at this: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread326227/pg1

In any case, the Dogon knowing things about Sirius that had been know to western science for at least 50 years is hardly proof or even strong evidence that aliens were somehow involved.

I guess you’re not aware of a solid Harris poll that clearly indicates that there are more than 3 MILLION abductees in the USA alone.

Stop! My sides are killing me from laughing so hard! A POLL indicates that there are more than 3 million abductees? First of all, any nutbag can claim anything in a poll. Second, CLAIMING to have been abducted hardly constitutes PROOF of anything. According to some polls, MILLIONS of people still believe the earth is flat. Doesn't exactly make it a fact, now does it?

Look, obviously, this is important to you, and wild-eyed speculation and theory means far more to you than logic and facts, so you go on working on your "Beam Me Up" beacon or whatever it is that you do with your time, and I'll go on living in the real world, sleeping quite soundly and without fear of being probed by any aliens.

There is none, of course. Belief is all there is to work with.

You just don’t get it, do you!

Just like with global warming - a consensus makes it true.

Ahhhhh . . .

so you are convinced that the Dogon ‘myths’ etc. only went back 50 years????

LOL.

What an UNSCIENTIFIC pile of stinking nonsense.

The anthropologists would laugh you out of any consideration for tenure.

I don’t think your understanding of polls is sufficient for me to be able to respond meaningfully.

Actually, leakers working in the field of abductions . . . assert that it’s 10’s of millions.

But, goodness, don’t let my rantings disturb your lullaby.

Stanton Friedman's arguments are not evidence. They're not even particulary complex or interesting. But they do help him sell books and lecture appearances, evidently.

He exploits the lonely, the paranoid and the uneducated, selling the inside story of the great conspiracies.

Pretty much of an emotional/intellectual predator.

Mitchell and other astronauts seeing all sorts of bizarre stuff blame it on space aliens because who believes in genies anymore?

You might laugh at this but here's a story for you to consider.

There was a golf course in New Mexico with very expensive homes lining one of the fairways. A man took his wife golfing and she shanked a ball through a window of one. The man figured they'd better fess up but as they were about to knock on its door, they noticed it was ajar. They pushed it open and saw a man in a blue silk robe lying on an expensive sofa with a shattered bottle on the floor. Next to it was their ball.
"I'm very sorry," the man stammered.
"It's alright," said the man in the robe. "You see, I'm a genie and I was trapped in that bottle for 3,000 years. Because you freed me, I will grant you each a wish."
Well, the man and his wife were amazed. The man said "I would like $10 million a year for the rest of my life for the Democratic Party to rule forever."
"It shall be done," said the genie.
"I would like a huge Al Gore-type mansion in every country in the world," said the wife.
"As you wish, it is done," said the genie. "But I have a request for you."
The genie looked at the husband. "I have not had a woman in 3,000 years. With your permission, I would like to take your wife upstairs and make passionate love to her."
The husband looked at his wife and said "Well, $10 million per year and eternal rule by the Democrats. I guess it's OK by me."
The wife said "Well, huge Al Gore-type mansion in every country in the world. I'll do it."
So the genie took her upstairs where they made loud passionate love for three hours while the husband read the New York Times on the sofa downstairs. When they were finished, the genie turned to the wife.
"How old is your husband?" he asked.
"35," she said.
"And he still believes in genies????"
