Top Astronaut: 'Aliens Do Exist'

11:37am UK, Thursday July 24, 2008 Aliens do exist and have even contacted humans on Earth, according to top astronaut Dr Edgar Mitchell who was the sixth man on the Moon. l-alien

Dr Edgar Mitchell says aliens are just like little men

The truth has been hidden by governments for more than 60 years, the Moon walker says.

And he claims he is lifting the lid on a conspiracy to keep aliens a secret.

Dr Mitchell, who was on Apollo 14 in 1971, has told how he was aware of many UFO visits to Earth during his career with Nasa but each one was covered up.

The 77-year-old claims the space agency made contact with aliens, describing the beings as "little people who look strange to us".

Chuck Missler has written some outstanding articles that support your statemnt and I agree with his logic.

These may a part of the coming deception, so strong, that if it were possible, even the very elect might be decieved.

Mitchel came to our campus about 10 yrs ago to give a talk. I went just to see a real moon man. The auditorium was filled, but strangely no students, only normal-looking adults. Mitchell talked about the connectedness of the universe. It got weird during the question and answer period. It was like Rosemary’s baby: all the normal-looking people turned out to be not normal. They were all UFO crazies who believed in any and all stories about aliens, communicating with the universe, etc.

buzz aldrin claims to have seen ufos in space too.

there are 200-400 billion stars in just our galaxy, with 100 billion galaxies containing billions and billions of stars. i found it hard to believe we are the only planet with life. seems like a giant waste of space to me if there were no aliens.

Actually, it DOES “calculate statistically” that there are no other intelligent/technological beings in our galaxy at least.

The “Drake equation”, even being generous, shows that it would take at least 100 galaxies of the same type as ours to produce 1 technological life supporting planet.

Then, given that these tech life forms could be from other galaxies, you have the speed of light barrier to contend with. Not saying that it couldn’t be overcome with sufficient tech, but just pointing out the hurdle to travel.

i once heard that there are 400 billion stars in our galaxy and 200 billion of them most likely have planets like ours orbiting them. chances seem kinda small that we are alone. the chances of contact, however, are very small.

"Interesting a former astronaut said this. Honestly, who knows. As big as the universe is, it would be hard seeing us as the only planet with life."

There was an edpisode of the TV show "Wings," where Joe and Brian were trying to sign on former astronaut "Ace" Calvin (Robert Culp) as a spokesman for Sandpiper Air. Without giving away any spoilers, one really must see the episode to fully appreciate this thread ;-)

He’s not the only one....they know...oh yeah....they know...

Space pioneer Gordon Cooper dies: Cooper believed in UFO coverup

http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/space/10/04/gordon.cooper/index.html

In his post-NASA career, Cooper became known as an outspoken believer in UFOs and charged that the government was covering up its knowledge of extraterrestrial activity.

“I believe that these extraterrestrial vehicles and their crews are visiting this planet from other planets, which obviously are a little more technically advanced than we are here on Earth” he told a United Nations panel in 1985.

“I feel that we need to have a top-level, coordinated program to scientifically collect and analyze data from all over the Earth concerning any type of encounter, and to determine how best to interface with these visitors in a friendly fashion”

He added, “For many years I have lived with a secret, in a secrecy imposed on all specialists and astronauts. I can now reveal that every day, in the USA, our radar instruments capture objects of form and composition unknown to us”

are you talking about life on other planets or the chances of CONTACT with those life forms? it would seem to me that life is likely, but contact with that life is not likely.

Carl Sagan was a pretty smart guy and he said the same thing.

Anyone who doesn't believe that aliens have landed and are interbreading with humans needs to look at Amy Winehouse and Dennis Rodman.

It is a fact that the astronauts saw things out there they can’t explain. Doesn’t mean they saw space ships. It does mean there are things going on we don’t understand.
