To keep Hillary out of office, yes.

Then I would go and live abroad for the term.

No, I won’t vote for McCain. I’ll leave that line empty.

I will never vote for McCain for the following reasons:

1) McCain/Feingold - unconstitutional
2) Sold out Arizona on immigration and then sold out the rest of us with McCain/Kennedy
3) 71 is too old
4) Bottom of Annapolis class
5) Only other POTUS that was an Annapolis grad was Carter.
6) Temper is legendary

If Hillary gets the nomination I will vote for McCain. Otherwise I will probably vote 3rd party.

Third party/write-in/not vote. One of the three, but I will not vote for McCain.

I would definitely vote for McCain. He’s stood by as a staunch supporter of the War on Terrorism. He stands by what HE thinks is right (even if I disagree with him on a lot of issues). He sticks to his guns.

He’s a good leader, and, I believe, a good man.

Has a temper, though. But he’s not the first one.

From Alaska, it might depend on who the Dems put up. McCain’s extreme pandering to environmental groups looks bad for Alaska. It is possible that Obama might not be so beholden. It could be tough. Hillary—no way though.

But this race is far from over. We still have a viable conservative candidate in Mitt Romney. For all you Thompson fans, I will throw this out. It is almost like he is a stalking horse for McCain. He gets in the race, draws conservative interest away from others, does nothing, fades—and of course, the next step that people expect is for him to withdraw and support McCain. Is that what Freepers want? Is that why there are Guilani Truth Files and Romney Truth Files but no McCain Truth Files? What is FR anyway? In any event, this election is fast pushing FR towards the dustbin, sorry to say.

“Unfortunately I don’t think it’s going to matter because I believe the GOP has all but given the White House to the democrats. The GOP has shown nothing but contempt for us and will need a beating to regain their principles.”

While I hate that it is as you say... I cannot find fault in your statement.

I will not support a D in R’s clothing. Not McCain, not Guiliani, not Romney. I’d rather see 4-8 years of Hillary, an actual socialist, than a “Republican” aiding the promotion of the socialist platform.

No More RINO’s! I’m done!

I’ll either write my own name in, or won’t vote for President.

I won’t vote for McCain. My memory is too long, I recall how much he enjoys smearing anyone that holds my viewpoint (Conservative) with Chris Mathews on Hardball. I remember CFR, and what it brought about. I remember his insistence on AMNESTY.

If he’s the nominee, the GOP doesn’t deserve my support this time around.

“I have never understood how maintaining some misguided sense of philosophical purity is more important than defeating democrats.”

You seem to worry about defeating “Democrats.” Democrat is just a party, same as Republican. I vote ideaology; not parties.

the question begs the mental decision of whether a person’s own philosophy of life would prevent them from being a part of trying to put someone in office that they despise.

In other words, “I hate mccain, regardless of whether we lose the presidency even though Hillary will win and she appoints supreme court justices that will be in chambers for the next 20 to 30 years. Whoo hoo! My defiance proves a point! Yeah!! (okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay...)

Support McCain if he’s the nominee?? Surely you jsest...Nope..I’ll support the Dem candidate, and happily allow that person to name perhaps 3-4 Justices to SCOTUS..and oh yeah, maybe even allow a terrorist attack INSIDE the USA. I can’t wait to go back to the Cater years..they were such fun...Waking up at 2 in the morning to get in line to gas up my car..No way I’ll support McCain..

Hold our noses but we all have to vote for MCquade if it is Hussien or the Marxist bitch. I would put Barbour, Sessions or Demint on the under ticket. Mac will be a one term Prez then Sessions, Barbour or Demint can take over. The Marxist bitch hauled the old ladies out of the nursing homes and their cruddy shacks along with selective ballot stuffing. Also, the left leaning dumb soccer moms from Mass. bought into her staged cryin episode. This is how the bitch won.
