“The GOP has shown nothing but contempt for us and will need a beating to regain their principles.”

If only ‘06 had taught them something. Or the amnesty fight. I can’t tell if it is arrogance or thick-headedness.

That's an easy one.

Hold nose and vote for (ugh) McCain.

We conservatives get understandably indignant when a liberal Republican like McCain gets the nod.

Considering the alternatives, it's still an easy vote.

Mrs. Rodham has no intention of allowing a fair election again.

The damage that Hillary and her Marxist pals can do to this great Country in 4 short years is astounding.

You would not recognize our Military, our schools, border, our culture, our economy, and of course our religions.

The military (which she hates) would be decimated and scorned, schools will be centers of social instruction, our culture will be even more "multi" (except anything traditional will be out), much of the economy will be collectivized (energy, pharmaceuticals, heavy industry, etc) and the resulting failures will be blamed on Dubya, and religion, well, you see what the aclu is doing already, more of that.

Hillary depends on we conservatives being stubbornly factionated for her to win the first time.

All ensuing elections, she will be counting the votes.

I will not vote for John McCain in the primary or the general election. I’ll leave that line blank, if it comes to that.

Support McCain. no way.

Vote for him? Maybe, maybe not. I would have a few months to decide. Currently I’m leaning towards write-in.

“Yes, there is a conservative party now...and 4 years of liberalism in the WH will reinforce that conservative base and make it stronger.”

Do you understand the concept of “conservative by comparison only?”

I voted for Bush twice. I do not support him today. I would not vote for him again (if legal), unless it was necessary to stop McInsane.

I’ll support him as lettuce picker, but aside from that, he won’t get my vote for even dog catcher.

I’m sorry, but how trustworthy on national defense can he be when he supports open borders? Sure, he’s better than anyone the dems have, but I question anyone who can’t see the contradiction between successfully protecting our country and allowing (encouraging) anyone and everyone to subvert the rule of law by rewarding illegal behavior.

“The temper tantrum crowd does not do America any favors.
They cut off their nose to spite their faces and hurt our country a great deal on issues like abortion, taxes, gay marriage, Judges, and all foreign policy issues.
But what does that matter?”

Whatever. Conservatism is a losing and dying cause in America. I got on the conservative ship a long time ago. I’d just assume avoid getting on the doomed RINO lifeboat and go down in style sipping champagne on the main deck.

Thank you for being realistic about this abortion issue. It’s not on the table for a presidential candidate. We’re becoming misinformed and this will cause us to split our votes and lose. IMO.

If you’re a Republican, you’ll vote for the Republican nominee. How hard is that? If you’re not a Republican, let your conscience be your guide. But, remmember Ross Perot!

“I will just NOT vote if he wins. And it is hard for me to believe I am saying that given that I have been a Republican all my adult life and never missed an election!”

Vote for the Conservatives on the ballot and write in the others or leave blank. I have voted in every election as a Republican since Nixon. I will NEVER vote for another dim in pubbie clothing.

I'm not a fan of McCain, but I could vote for him in November.

However, I should point out that he's probably the most abysmal candidate from the GOP side from an "electability" standpoint in a general election. The guy has a god-awful unhealthy look about him, and you can be sure that all this media-driven nonsense about his position as a "moderate" would come to an end if he ever got the GOP nomination.
