Great Photos From Kennebunport Protest, John Kerry Wannabes Upset With GOE Non-Violent Direct Action
8/25/08 | AP likns

Here's Our guys jumping out in front of their march.

Here's the womenfolk from the Iraq Veterans Against the War (John Kerry Wannabes) getting run off by the police.

More IVAW traitors yapping at our guys. Free speech only for comrades says IVAW traitors..

The Iraq Veterans Against the War are modelled after and mentored by the traitors known as the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. What the VVAW did to smear the Vietnam generation of military, the IVAW is doing to smear this generation of military.

Back in January, they stood by Jane Fonda and helped her smear their own comrades in arms.

VFP and IVAW are two of the 4 groups "interviewed" in The Nation study that is intended to be this generation's Winter Soldier smear. It's to be a book called "Collateral Damage" and it is intended to be what allows the radical left to call this generation "baby killers".

For Pete's sake, the IVAW, at the VFP convention in St Louis, elected a Sandanista as their "Chairman". Of course the also elected Cpl Adam Kokesh "Co-Chair", but on a "non-interference basis" while he's not reading his press clipings.

These guys are a bunch of posers. There's a famous quote from founder Mike Hoffman, "We're the rock stars of the anti-war movemnet."

That's not to say they aren't patriotic in their own way. If the clubs in Columbia Heights or Adams Morgan in DC are ever occupied by foreign troops, IVAW will defend the Wonderland Ballroom to the last beer.

Party on Garth...

Bet $$ to donuts that none of those guys are vets.

Some are, some have been frauds like Jesse MacBeth and Josh Lansdale, the chick who claimed an injury in SWA and was never assigned there.

Those folks are a repeat of the frauds that particpated in Winter Soldier and are part of the new effort to smear this generation of veterans veterans.

In the old days all you needed was a field jacket, a peace sign necklace and long hair, only no one worn field jackets in Viet Nam.

Yep - the hippie look is out.
I do have to comment on the field jacket. I wore one when we moved from the Delta to I Corp in February 1968. It was cold! Well, it felt cold. Temperatures were in the 80s, but coming up from where temperatures were usually around or over 100 it sure did feel cold - we even had to steal the jackets from the Navy. Not really "field" jackets - but warm. I don't think I ever saw an Army field jacket over there.

Please thank your 2 sons, on behalf of my family and me, for defending our freedoms. And thank you, for raising such fine young men.

Our local bookshops has those too. My son asked me, infront of the owner (femi-nazi) what they were...I told him they were a disrespectful way for people to treat our President because they disagree with his policies.

She said something like “Well isn’t it great we live in a free country?” with a smug smile as she grabbed the stack of books I had brought to the counter.

I said...yup...it sure is....and I am free to go to another store to buy birthday presents and out we went leaving $100 of books on the counter.

I have 7 kids and lots of birthday party presents to buy...and her store will never see a dime of it.

LOL
At the end of the protest “they were treated to a concert by “The Indigo Girls” and a “peace supper” at a local community center.

Gorgeous photo of beautiful Walker Point, Kennebunkport in #72. Great evidence of the "hordes" participating in the "peace" march as well.

Is that a splinter group of the anti-war crowd that I see coming down one of the private driveways? Perhaps one of Dubya's neighbors had some part in the organization of this march?

I agree everyone there that was supporting the troops great job! I want to thank you all for taking the time and effort to be there.
But the bandana facemask is for the losers on the other side. If it was done to mock the other side, I think most of us will not get your sarcasm. I for one, did not get it when I saw the photo. On September 15th.I hope the only masks I see are on the other side of the police barriers.
Anarchist wear masks, Patriots show their faces.
Let’s show America how proud we are of our troops!

You need to go back to that bookstore and ask for Rick Santorum’s book, “It Takes A Family” or Russell Kirk’s “The Conservative Mind” or any book by Ann Coulter. I always do that when I go into a liberal bookstore. I’m glad to give them my money as long as they will sell me books by conservatives.

I agree... I didn't get it either... I had to look at the photos, read the captions and comments on this thread several times to get the "joke". I think wearing the bandana facemask makes our side look bad, "sarcasm" or not.

Show up and you'll better understand what goes on.

You could have gone to Maine, but you took a pass on it. The guy in the photo was in the car pool that left from NYC.

You SAY you're going to DC September 15th. I'll believe it when I see it. I'll even see that you have a ride.

True, but everybody had a field jacket anyway. That doesn't mean there weren't a lot of greasy draft dodgers wearing field jackets, but every Soldier, Marine and Airman had one issued at basic.

Marines aren’t issued field jackets, those are 782 gear which meant you had to check them out and turn them in just like canteen cups and ammo pouches.

Hmmm...didn’t know that. Probably the reason the Air Force issues them is because we had so many bases on the northern tier. Ugh!

Thanks for the offer of a ride to DC but I have bought my train ticket to DC weeks ago. Your comment “Show up and you’ll better understand what goes on.” made me chuckle. Though I never counted, I have easily been to over 75 in the last 4 years, and this will be my third trip to DC supporting the troops, I have people that would vouch to that number. I know what goes on, and and stand behind what I said. What goes on is, Patriots show their faces, Anarchist wear masks. By wearing a mask it gives, the American hating Media a Photo Op, giving them an opportunity to twist what we are about. Lets put our best faces forward (pun intended) and show everyone. We Support our Troops!
