Our instructions said that we have to hit the "Vote" button twice to register our vote. I'm sure the elderly will get confused, since most are not computer literate.

I had no problem with an optical scan, paper ballot and a pencil. Voter intent is quite clear that way.

I was disenfranchised. I went to my polling place at 102nd and 2nd ave in NYC (I recently moved there). They did not have me on the roll. They said go to my old precinct (after I told them what "precinct" meant, when I said was this the right precinct, they said it was a school, not a precinct...). I went to my old precinct on 78th and York ave and they did not have me either. I was steamed. They said I had to go back uptown and fill out an affidavit ballot - but I had to come to work.

Oh well, my vote doesn't count in NYC anyway.

Oh, and my liberal girlfriend is angry because I did not call and remind her to vote before going to work. I said it was nothing personal, but I was not going to do any campaigning for Hillary and that if she wanted to vote for her, she needed to remember on her own.

Chilly fog here in suburban Maryland this morning at a moderately heavy democratric precinct. I got there about 7:30, standing behind 'Adam & Eve Steve'. About 50+ people in line (Mostly Democratic poll workers). I got in and out, voting 99% GOP; alot of people were taking their time, not sure why.

Of Note: I did not see as many 'people of color' as I usually see voting. When I left, the line was quite short, and spaces in the parking lot had really opened up. Seems to be lighter than I thought it would be.

Cologne MN, about 20 people as of 7:10AM, waited about 5 minutes to vote. Everyone was courteous and seemed to be in good spirits. One election official told me "I've never seen such a turnout this early in the morning on election day, even when the President was on the ballot."
Things seem to be going well here!

The polls were pretty full at 6 this morning in Southern Fairfax County VA. The wait was about 20-30 minutes. We usually go republican, but i fear the soccer moms and city refuges are starting to overtake the retired military.
What I am concerned about is the huge turn out up in Arlington, but that was also the case in the 04 election, but to counter my own reassurance it was the case in 05 when Kaine took VA. The one thing I’m sure of is that I’ll be hitting the Mylanta all day today, with a possible upgrade to beer or Champagne depending, later tonight.

I wore my Devos (Michigan Governor candidate) hat into the polling place. I removed it but kept it very visible.

#11 at 7:20am. I'm usually #5 or so at teh same time.

No waiting. Pollsters were checking registration cards w/address and signatures (had to do in the polling place) against their records. Still peeved they do not require an ID to vote. Steady stream but not as busy as a Presidential year election.

I just finished voting in a small county at the National Guard Armory. Already 300 votes were cast with people still streaming in through the doors. Of course my state will be going primarily republican. I voted straight ticket. Generally I vote individuals, but the dims have made me so angry I voted straight republican.

My podunk polling place didn't even open until 9 am. I was there at 8 thinking they would be open as was posted on the county website, but then I get there and one of the workers told me they didn't open until 9. So I guess I am going to be REALLLY late to work today. I was the 33rd voter and it took about 25 min.

New Jersey, NYC commuting suburbia.

No wait, but there usually isn't at just after 9AM. I was #54. New electronic voting machines, a little spooky after the old mechanical ones that went "clunk" to register. They all seemed to be working fine.

I don't know if this bodes well or not for Kean -- we're a conservative neighborhood in a gerrymandered Democrat district.

Northern Summit county, Ohio.....A constant drizzling rain up here. My polling place packed to the gills.....and people streaming in while I was there at 7:45 am. Had to wait for a booth to vote on our "New" Scanner system .........surprise!

I think it's going to be a long day today. Our polls opened at 6:30 am and I was number 70. The 4 Golden girls I was greeted by are checking drivers licenses and ID's before allowing you to move ahead.

Ping for Blackwell and DeWhine and every other Republican on the ballot!

Voted against every issue except the Smoke less (Issue four)which I voted for!

All I can do now is wait watch and pray for a Republican victory now and more rain.

I voted at 6am this morning here in beautiful downtown Chappaqua. I was #10, but those before me were the poll workers. I jogged the 4 miles up and back to avoid the later confusion, and media when the Clintons descend on Grafflin school. But after, I was doing a bunch of errands around down..breakfast, bank, dry cleaners, supermarket..and each place I cheerfully asked people if they had voted..maybe 20-25 all told..Predominately younger people, under 30, I'd guesstimate, and what really surprised me..in addition to the usual responses of "I've voted" or "I'll go after work," at least HALF told me that they "don't vote", they're "not political", they don't "follow all that political stuff." I was, and still am, astonished...

Id rather not have the uniformed voting anyway.
Small town in Maine, no lines, no waiting. Paper ballots go into the wooden box with a lock on it. Four older ladies to check off names and coffee in the corner for refresment. I love small town living.

Mrs. Sine_Nomine and I voted one hour after the polls opened. There was no line, but checking in was slow. My prediction is that turn-out will be light. The ballot had four sides (and was very long - Arizona). The props were so varied and confusing that my wife and I took prepared cheat sheets. Even then she muffed two votes. Since this was a complete the line ballot, she had them nullify those two votes.

I think interest is rather low, frustration with the voting process high, so I expect relatively few votes overall.

I am still expecting the GOP to hold the Senate and the House with losses in the margin in both places. If things go badly, I hope this will spur real conservatism in the GOP instead of RINO yakking about compassion.

Blacksburg

I have always felt that a large turnout generally means a desire for change
