Longest line I have seen since I moved to Virginia at 7:20AM.

You moved in at 7:20 AM and still voted?

Chalk it up to "motor-voter" I guess :-)

Cheers!

I didn't get that, either. What does that mean, white and middle-aged? :)

I live in a fairly sparsely populated red county. My polling place was doing surprisingly brisk business at 8:30 this morning.

Thank you again, John Kerry, for your tireless get-out-the-GOP-vote efforts.

Voted at 9 am (CST) in NW suburban Chicago. I was #90. It seemed a little busier than usual, but a lot of people in this district vote absentee.

There was not much to get excited about, except to vote for Mark Kirk, our local congressman and a few other Reps. I even held my nose and voted for RINO Judy Barr Topinka. The last time I did that we wound up with George Ryan.

7:30 AM here in Bluffton. 2 dozen people, all touch-screen, no wait. No big office seats [Sanford will likely take it] but a 15% property tax cap and a new $.01 sales tax on the ballot have heated things up a little.

And rain. A real frog-strangler out there!

It was all easy. There were enough people ready to vote (filled parking lot - but very small), but still very manageable and fast at this point.

I had no problems. However, I complained to the "judge" who led me to the station that THESE "POLLING STATIONS" ARE OUT IN THE OPEN FOR EVERYONE TO SEE.

She tried to defend saying you really can't see once you're standing in front. I said I could see the screens from back 20 ft. when I was standing in line.

I've noticed the last 10 years the "secrecy" is getting less and less.

Nevermind I don't like not having any hard-copy paper to cover my votes' butt.

Our local moonbat's father told me that his daughter refuses to vote in the "BushReich farce election". He says she's sitting home getting drunk already. LOL

My stomach hurts I laughed so hard at this......so pathetic and descriptive. She's too stupid or drunk to know she's helping "BushReich."

Just returned from voting. Straight Republican ticket. Santorum, Swann, Hart, Turzai, Orie. Not overly busy. One person in line before me. A little old lady who wanted to talk about everything under the sun with each and every poll worker. 5 more came in after I was in and I passed 5 more on their way in when I left.

North suburban precinct of Allegheny County. By the way, every where I drive around here has mostly Republican candidates signs. Hardly see any Democrats. Guess the Dems live in Pittsburgh.

Somewhere I heard that the actor on Law & Order Criminal Intent, ? Donofrio, had to reduce his work on the show for rest because he was so literally sick over Bush winning in 2004. Whatta putz!

I voted last week and waited in line for about 1 1/2 hours. The lady in front of me not only had her 15 month old screaming kid with her, but when we finally got to the person checking your ID, this lady showed a VA driver's license and said that she had only been in TN for two months! I thought that was a little strange, but the poll worker made a phone call and let her vote.....

I am in a heavily DemocRAT Mongomery County, PA ward. I voted at about 7:30AM. No one in line, just walked right in (on the registration sheet it looked like there were about 35 people who had already voted) which is pretty typical of a mid-term election. However at about the same time in 2004 there was a line around the building.

In Lubbock, TX, a "voting experiment" of sorts is going on. They call it "super-precincts". Basically, it's a "vote anywhere" scenario at various locations (grocery stores, churches, etc.) rather than at assigned precinct locations with computerized voter check-in to keep folks from voting twice. There are fewer voting locations than under the "assigned-precinct" deal, but it seems more convenient.
I voted early, so I haven't been to any of the polling places today.

Catoosa County GA, so red that Mark Taylor, the dim running against Gov. Sonny Perdue, didnt spend 1 dime in this area (no yard signs, no ads, no mailings, no phone calls)

No straight ticket option, so I had to mark each and every R on the ballot!

Arrived at 10:30am, 5 machines, and I had to wait maybe 10 min total. It is pouring down rain here. Asked the ladies what the count was so far, and they told me 187, very high for a mid term election. They joked that they brought puzzle books, and had yet had time to open them up. A steady stream of voters in and out the door.

Debold machines, and not one error on my ballot... maybe I just did it right :)

Sligthly Heavier than normal turnout here is northern Utah. Of course, you can't throw a rock without hitting a Republican here...straight R. Wish I could vote for Santorum, Allen, Talent, Corker. etc.

Checking in from Volusia County , Florida. My wife and I voted at about 10:00AM. Compared to other years, it seemed to be a pretty good turnout for a midterm election. Folks seemed to be very motivated and very anxious to vote.

I just returned from voting thinking I would be in and out at 9:45. I was number 401, The polling lady said that was unusually high. Generally the 400's hit in the after noon.

This is a high republican area in Crestwood Mo. and when I left there was still line of 40 to 50 people.

Turnout is what we need,

Weather was a bit cold and damp.

Chris Core on WMAL630AM is just discussing this sticker that is given away free to voters in Montgomery County, MD.

I used a black marker to strike out the Spanish "Yo Vote'".

Now you know why they call it "The Peoples Republic of Maryland"
...the durty bastids......
