Don’t be fooled by the name. I was a liberal until 1984 when I became a new conservative. Hence, neocon1984. Ronald Reagan is the best POTUS we have had in my lifetime. He helped me see the light. America is exceptional, the most exceptional society that has ever existed.

I was born in 1953, so I have some experience. I am also a clinical psychologist with a business consulting background. My experiences have certainly shaped my thinking, as has my formal education. It was different back then - less indoctrination, more thinking for yourself. In any case, I always think for myself and have a natural resistance to indoctrination of any sort.

I have capitalist/libertarian leanings with a conservative underpinning. Drastically reducing the size and scope of government and unions will help all of us prosper and enjoy more freedom. People with talent who work hard and take risks should be rewarded for their contributions. Those who suck off the system are parasites.

“Atlas Shrugged” is my favorite book, but I am not an Ayn Rand follower. She was a brilliant writer, but a silly philosopher.
