Some days ago I asked for your help with the traslation of a web site the Major of my town asked me... Well, you all were really so kind with me! AND I WANNA THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT HELP.

Your English looks pretty good to me, with the exception of "wanna," which you won't find in the dictionary. It's "want to."

Can you check my grammar?We were glad to help. I note with satisfaction that you took most of my suggestions for the "GENERAL INFORMATION" section. And I think it looks good even if you didn't take my suggestions for conversion from metric to English units of elevation and area. Aome Americans relate to the metric system but most of us still consider it a foreign language.
an italianYou listed the fair dates in order of significance, and I understand that. My suggestion for sorting them by date was strictly looking at it from a potential tourist's point of view - if I were planning a trip to Italy as a tourist, I would I'm afraid not be likely to plan it around a fair date in your fair city but around my own schedule. So from that point of view listing the fairs in callendar order would make it easier to see if a fair would be going on at a time when I might consider visiting Grosotto.

I took the family this summer to Italy for their first visit. We had a great time and the kids 14 and 11 were old enough to enjoy the churches and museums and of course, the food. We did all the touristy cities: Venice, Rome, Florence and Pisa. The next time we visit we will pick a nice quiet town and just enjoy the pace of life there for a while. You have a beautiful country that I am sure you are very proud of.
All of those cities, particularly poor little Venice were heaving with tourists from all over the world. Next time, I think I won't visit in the summertime. As you know, it was unusually hot this summer, but the skies were absolutely cloud-free the two weeks we were there.

By the dictionary that is of course exactly correct, and "wanna" doesn't look right to the eye even though your meaning is perfectly clear.The reason it is clear is that when spoken, "want to" will usually be sounded "wanna."

I visited northern Italy about 10 years ago and I can truthfully say it is beautiful and the people were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. If I ever go back I'll make it a point to visit Grosotto.

Claudia, never apologize for your English - your English is far superior to most Americans' Italian. Thank you for your FRiendship with America - you, and those like you, continue the strong bonds that exist between our two countries.
