Your English looks pretty good to me, with the exception of "wanna," which you won't find in the dictionary. It's "want to."

Spero di viaggiare in Italia un certo giorno. È Torino vicino dove le 2006 Olimpiadi di inverno sono state tenute appena sembrano come un posto grande cominciare.

Ciao Claudia. Benvenuta a' FR.

Your English is very good, much better than my Italian! I love the picture of George Bush on your home page.

I would like to visit Grosotto, I haven't been to Italy for a while but I love it there. I wish I could get caffe' and gelato here like you have there. And I miss the profumerie.

Well, I hope we hear from you often. Ciao!

Elaine

From the site: 'For any informations'

Should be, 'For any information.' No 's' at the end. And it would be even better if it read: 'For information.' The site looks very nice. I remember when you had a vacation over here. I hope you enjoyed your time in the US.

"The Tourist office of Grosotto
is open from Monday to Saturday from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm
and from 15.00 pm to 18.30 pm "

And I thought bankers had good hours.

We were glad to help. I note with satisfaction that you took most of my suggestions for the "GENERAL INFORMATION" section. And I think it looks good even if you didn't take my suggestions for conversion from metric to English units of elevation and area. Aome Americans relate to the metric system but most of us still consider it a foreign language.

You listed the fair dates in order of significance, and I understand that. My suggestion for sorting them by date was strictly looking at it from a potential tourist's point of view - if I were planning a trip to Italy as a tourist, I would I'm afraid not be likely to plan it around a fair date in your fair city but around my own schedule. So from that point of view listing the fairs in callendar order would make it easier to see if a fair would be going on at a time when I might consider visiting Grosotto.

Claudia,

I took the family this summer to Italy for their first visit. We had a great time and the kids 14 and 11 were old enough to enjoy the churches and museums and of course, the food. We did all the touristy cities: Venice, Rome, Florence and Pisa. The next time we visit we will pick a nice quiet town and just enjoy the pace of life there for a while. You have a beautiful country that I am sure you are very proud of.

All of those cities, particularly poor little Venice were heaving with tourists from all over the world. Next time, I think I won't visit in the summertime. As you know, it was unusually hot this summer, but the skies were absolutely cloud-free the two weeks we were there.

Viva l'Italia e viva l'amicizia tra gli Italiani e gli Americani.

I visited northern Italy about 10 years ago and I can truthfully say it is beautiful and the people were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. If I ever go back I'll make it a point to visit Grosotto.

:-)

Claudia, never apologize for your English - your English is far superior to most Americans' Italian. Thank you for your FRiendship with America - you, and those like you, continue the strong bonds that exist between our two countries.

Hopefully, one day I will get the opportunity to visit Italy and your small village. If so, I look forward to being able to meet you.

Ciao!!

Freepers are tremendous people. When you ask for help you get help, not a complaint that there should be government assistance for your need.

I've traveled all over Italy and loved it. There is this one waiter in Brindisi that I'd like to tar and feather, but I managed to enjoy two weeks in Amalfi and Florence nonetheless. Locarno, just over your border, was one of my favorite places. I've got to go back!

Your page is wonderful!

I had a couple of layovers in Naples' capuducine (sp) airport and Sicily when I was in the Navy. I also visited Italy when I was 15. I love your country. Great food!

One small suggestion. 24 MB of black & white photo download to open the gallery page is a little harsh, even on broadband.

Convert to lesser quality .jpg and use thumbnails.
