Can any of you German-speakers tell me how to pronounce the "ch" in the traditional German gingerbread cookies called Lebkuchen?
Have tried doing a search on the web, but came up with history and recipes, but not pronunciation.
First you have to click your heels.
Re your tagline...."Was it good for you too?"
Not looking for a recipe. I'll stick to chocolate chips or any of our Italian biscotti when it's my turn to bake. Daughter would probably try her hand at Lebkuchen.

Oh, you haven't seen Martin's super-duper-delicious cookie recipe!
Owl_Eagle(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
I gotta change that tagline. It was funny while it lasted.
Ping
ON THE NET...
"Lebkuchen VI"

It's like saying "he" only with a little more hiss.
I see it's already been answered.
But since it's Christmas time and we're talking Germany, don't forget to get ahold of Christstollen (raisin-almond roll with powdered sugar on top) and Glühwein (hot spiced red wine). Glühwein is best served far too hot to drink so you can huddle around your cup to get warm when it's below freezing.
And nobody should be allowed to post a pronounciation suggestion if they learned it from Alton Brown (from Good Eats on the Food Channel), because he always murders the German words he tries to use.
Thanks.
I'm not familiar with Scots English - sorry.
