"A million here and a million there will soon add up to real money."

Everett Dirksen, great quote, great man.

"Wow! Brinkley just did a number on Nagin! "

A knock-out!

O'Reilly's whole program is a good one tonight.

I have always wondered why the government has "non-essential employees. Hell, if they aren't essential, FIRE 'EM!

The story was pulled because it was too inaccurate.

Well---he may be in your opinion...he certainly doesn't seem to favor any one group...or party. And I WANT him to favor Conservatives...lol! He just doesn't seem to care about my wishes, how dare he be his own person?

That said........I was jumping up and down and SHOUTING with complete agreement during his opening segment...he was on FIRE! And his HATRED of the ACLU is shared by me...100% and then some.

He LEVELED that screwball liberal judge for ordering the release of more abu garibe prison pics of the USA soldiers who taunted the muslims...BOR was FURIOUS...I thought he was going to lose it and I would not have cared if he did...he is RIGHT...releasing more of those photos will incite more terrorism and further endanger our troops....the people who did the wrong, the soldiers who did the crappy taunting are ALREADY being sentenced or in jail.

There IS NOT PURPOSE in releasing more photos.........HELL...this would have NEVER been done during WWII and BOR pointed that out to the man he had on to debate the issue...some liberal idiot.

I wonder if NO recovered all their police cars found in Florida.....with NO police officers still in them.

I thought it was Houston. Were they found in Florida, too?
With all the phantom cops -- perhaps the police cars were spirited away....

I just don't think old Eddie was in it alone. I think they need to keep digging and get the rest of the corruption out before money is turned over to ANY of them for rebuilding.

I agree, but I wonder how much ability Generals have to question Federal judges? Military should implore their civilian boss to implore the Pres to state their case, and initiate judicial appeals.

I believe any General in our nation has the right to stand up for his troops. If there is a law that says a General cannot publically refute a heinous ruling by a judge, I would be interested in knowing about it...I do know that active military do not contradict their commander in chief, but geeeeeeez, I agree with BOR...at the very LEAST retired generals could come forward and raise some heck and stand up for our troops.

Retired yes for sure. I just question how much ability the active military has to question the civilian leadership; be it judicial, legislative, or executive.

I am amazed that no media tv wise has mentioned the court restraing order issued late last week aganist the police supervisor and mayor to stop confiscating firearms and to return all that were to their rightful owner. No not one peep from anyone. HUUUMMMMMMMMMM surprised . After all the NYT did write about it happening but funny how they have not followed up on how it stopped. Guess they are not so gleeful to report that.

Nagin has had wonderful press for cleaning up corruption but it was nothing. Who were prosecuted? A couple taxicab drivers.
