Announcing the Fresno/Central Valley Chapter 4th Annual Rally and Tailgate Picnic Sept 9th and 10th, 2005
The Fresno/Central Valley Chapter cordially invites all FReepers in good standing to attend our 4th Annual Free Republic Rally and Tailgate Picnic to be held on Friday and Saturday, September 9th and 10th, 2005.
Our rally will begin at 5:00 pm and end at 7:00 pm on Friday night, at the corner of Blackstone and Shaw in Fresno. Afterwards, the group will gather for dinner and fellowship at a nearby restaurant (place to be announced).
Bring your flags, banners, signs, family and children. Prepare to support your country and enjoy the company of your good FReeper friends!
Our tailgate pot-luck picnic will be held this year at Kearney Park on Saturday, September 10th. We've reserved the "Tea House" picnic shelter for the full day. We'll probably start arriving about 1:00 or 2:00 pm and will BBQ and party till dark.
Kearney Park is located at 7160 W Kearney Blvd about six or seven miles west of downtown Fresno. You can get to the park by going west on highway 180 (Whites Bridge Rd to Grantland Ave then south to Kearney) or by taking the palm tree lined scenic Kearney Blvd from Fresno St. There is a $4.00 entrance fee per car.
Click here for map to Kearney Park.
Note: The Kearney Mansion Museum will be open on Saturday for tours. See link.

Will be at both. Is Texas Cowboy going to able to attend?
It looks like great weather, not like some of the other years. We may not have to have water fights to keep cool.
To: Jim Robinson; JustAmy; Mama_Bear

TC has been sick again and has not been able to start his chemo. Please keep him in your prayers.
Hopefully he will be able to join us for a rally before he heads back to Texas.
See you tomorrow.

I didn't buy any water guns this year; I don't think we will need them this time. :)

Hello.... My husband and I will stop by the Rally tomorrow night after work (since he won't be flying a mission, as originally planned.) We will try to stop by the picnic, as well... depending on his work/flying schedule.
Looking forward to meeting y'all.

You still have time to make it to Saturday's picnic.Hi Amy:
Alas, I don't think I'll make it. The wife, daughter and I are going to pack our picnic basket and lawn chairs and make a day of it at...
Tulare County Symphony
POPS IN THE PARK "A NIGHT ON BROADWAY"
Zumwalt Park, Tulare - September 10, 2005, 8pm
Get your picnic baskets, family, friends and neighbors and join the symphony for a wonderful outdoor concert! You can expect some of your favorite Broadway music including Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar and music from Carmen.
Both my wife and daughter play cello, and their teacher plays for the Tulare County Symphony. It's kind of a tradition for us to go see their first concert of the season down at Zumwalt Park.
I'm going to look into making it for the Friday thing though.
