It’s A Time For Choosing And That’s Why I Must Choose Cruz
The Louisiana Hayride ^ | February 2, 2016 | Kevin Boyd

Posted on 02/09/2016 6:39:21 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

I have been struggling to decide who to vote for president. This field that was hyped as the "most talented in a generation" has turned out to be a field full of mediocrities. Standing atop the field until last night was a vulgar carnival barker and reality TV star. Instead of a debate on ideas, we have mindless sloganeering and empty words.

Donald Trump absolutely cannot be the Republican nominee. Trump is not a conservative, he has not fought with conservatives, and he has actively aided and funded the enemies of conservatives. It's more than that though. To nominate Trump would be to reward a demagogue for his demagoguery. We're not going to rehash his idiotic proposals and vulgar remarks, but someone like that should not be representing conservatives and a major political party.

Now the task at hand is to support someone who actually can defeat Trump. I hesitated to align behind a presidential candidate and I even gave strong thought to not voting in the Louisiana primary on March 5th. But I can't sit on the sidelines and let Trump get the nomination unopposed....

“Squishy” this month or “squishy” a year ago? Which Trump are you referring to?

I choose Trump! He is capable of getting laws passed. Unlike Cruz who has only sponsored and passed one bill since entering the Senate.

I wouldn't hold that against him. Not with @$$hole Mitch McConnell trying to make deals with Democrats. Not very fertile ground for any good legislation.

The man who is less squishy on Illegal Immigration deserves the top spot.

Trump? He is to the left of Mitt Romney on illegal immigration. Trump is on record saying that he will expedite them right back in. Then once they're legal, he can count on lower labor costs for his businesses.

No, I’m talking about the guy who built and incredibly successful business worth 10 billion dollars, who’s demonstrated an extreme degree of competence, and who nobody owns. Why don’t you try saying something intelligent for a change?

I’m guessing you didn’t read it.

In an interview with Chris Cuomo on CNN’s “New Day” on Tuesday, Trump said, “the biggest problem I have with Planned Parenthood is the abortion situation,” he said. “It’s like an abortion factory. You can’t have it and you shouldn’t be funding it and that should not be funded by the government.”

Ummm if you use that logic, Rubio is your choice.

Trump has the highest unfavorables of both parties.

So what are you guys really afraid of?

That he will appoint Liberal Judges like his sister to positions on the Federal courts, including the Supreme Court.

He sounds great on a lot of other issues, but not this one, and this is an issue of no minor importance. This issue is VERY significant for fixing what is wrong with our country.

I see Cruz and Trump as equally good and equally bad on balance, but good and bad in different ways.

So I'm not about to go on a two minute hate for either candidate.

Personally I'm glad Kasich came in second.

Bush was GOPe No. 1
Rubio was GOPe No. 2
Kasich is now GOPe No.3

So long as the mantle keeps changing hands, the GOPe will be in a tizzy about what to do.

Go Trump!

Go Cruz!

Go Christie (GOPe No. 4)

I didn’t vote for them either and Trump is far more liberal than they were.

I wouldn’t vote for Trump. If Trump is nominated I will find a name to write-in.

I will vote for him if he wins the nomination. He will fix some things that need fixing. Hillary or Communist Bernie will just make things much worse.

Hey, I’m a Trump supporter, but this is only the second contest and first primary...there’s a long way to go. Look how fast Rubio went from the “surge” post-Iowa to maybe sixth tonight? Things can change on a dime.

Trump won’t fix anything that needs fixing. He is almost identical to Hillary in what he will do.

If you’re so sure Trump is beatable, why did you put up an insulting article like that? No grace from the Cruzites - not for one minute.
