No, of course he’s not out of the race, but 22 points is strong? He had momentum from Iowa but squandered it with a measly debate, IMO. He played it safe whereas he should have went for the kill shot. I think the cloud of the Dr. Carson issue and the vote shaming hurt him. Undecideds went for Kasich and Trump.

“Trump has the highest unfavorables of both parties.”

He just won NH in a landslide and has huge crowds everywhere he goes! I don’t think that stat matters much.

He is capable of getting laws passed. Unlike Cruz who has only sponsored and passed one bill since entering the Senate.

Trump is the guy who encouraged Kentucky voters to support McConnell over Matt Bevin so that McConnell could become Speaker of the Senate and bring more pork home.

But it is interesting to hear someone gauge Ted Cruz's success on how many bills he was able to get Baraq Obama to sign.

"..More than one American knows a blowhard when he sees one. “You know, it doesn’t bother me that Trump acts like an immature 8th grader, it is that there are so many people, some of them good Christians, who are feeling so helpless and frustrated by what has happened these last seven years that they are willing to excuse and even welcome his behavior.” -BG The visceral repudiation of all that is Obama and liberal ideology has a way of overreacting. Trump support is a manifestation of that.."

Agreed. I really hope Trump supporters know what they're doing and prove me wrong. But best I can tell so far, it's all based on what he "tells" them. Requiring not a shred of evidence to back up what he's actually done except that he's a rich "winner" who knows what frustrated folks wanna hear. He's a salesman. As am I. The first thing you hafta sell to make the sale is yourself. I'll support Trump if I have to. But that's back to the same 'ol "lesser evil" crap. And I ain't necessarily so sure about that.

Save your childish flames. I don't care. Reasonable debate appreciated. d:^)

“Goldman Sachs Cruz already sold out on ObamaTRADE,
and lost his chance for POTUS.
The dirty tricks in Iowa showed who he was.”

I guess tonight carson at 2.5% of the vote has Carly to blame for cheating him out of his rightful place.

Having written Harry reid’s biography I know what dirty tricks are. Ted Cruz did not pull a dirty trick, Ben Carson simply showed he wasn’t serious. As he did again tonight.

And why doesn’t any of you go after Marco Rubio’s staff, or CNN? Do you believe everything the spinmesters tell you? I mean come on.

Prior to the campaign, I have not seen one conservative candidate or cause that Trump has ever supported, and none of his supporters have either. Either he is terrible judge of character or he’s a LIEberal charlatan. Either way, he’s consistently on the wrong side.

Best they can come up with is he will “build a wall”. Problem is he thinks an over-reaching, ever-intrusive government is the answer to the problem and each of his “solutions” will grow government faster than Obama.

Over the last couple days he's brought up an issue that no other candidate even knew was an issue - the fact that we could save up to 300 billion a year in medicaire/Medicaid expenditures by renegotiating pricing with drug companies. These are the kind of powerful common sense and practical solutions a guy like Trump brings to the table.

I don't necessarily find that encouraging. It actually frightens me a bit.

Canada "renegotiated" prices with drug companies. Their strategy was this. "Give us the price we think is reasonable, or we will revoke your patents in Canada. (Meaning anyone can make the drug.)

This is veiled Fascism, and it ought to scare people. Canada is getting their low cost drugs because they are leaving the development costs to be paid by us here in the United States. So long as Americans pay full price, Canada gets subsidized drug prices.

I don't think the system will continue to function if we try to shake down drug companies too.

What Canada did was completely unethical and immoral.

If you have a “conservative” Supreme Court yet have a total breakdown of the U.S. society because of unemployment, invasion of thugs from everywhere, and rampant epidemics of disease from third world nations, what will you have? It is like “gaining the world and losing your immortal sour.”

It is going to take Mark Levin’s Constitutional Amendments to restore the Republic, but there has to be an underlying country left to restore.

I have spent almost 40 years in and around the Federal Government. We are probably too far gone to come back, but only someone with Donald Trump’s life experience has half a chance against the entrenched bureaucracy.

Thanks for posting this article. Ten national and Iowa pro-life leaders said vote for anyone but Trump. The National Organization for Marriage doesn’t want a thing to do with Trump. With Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, this is the best chance we have to elect a conservative president — and many folks on this website are fighting to support a man who has been an enemy of conservatives for much of his life.

I’ve read the posts that say that Trump will build a wall on the border and that’s good enough for them. PARDON MY POINT, BUT HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU KNOW WHAT HE WILL DO? I know what Ted Cruz will do by his fights against Obamacare, illegal immigration, for the Second Amendment (the Heller case) and against the GOP establishment. Trump, for his part, has given money to Reid and Pelosi and even to the GOP-E’s McConnell. Now he is for America and conservatism. Ha, ha, ha.

This statement sums it up: “Trump is not a conservative, he has not fought with conservatives, and he has actively aided and funded the enemies of conservatives. It’s more than that though. To nominate Trump would be to reward a demagogue for his demagoguery.” This is a man that is disliked by 60 percent of the nation. YUCK.

“I didn’t vote for them either and Trump is far more liberal than they were.”

You’d think you’d have some appreciation for what Trump is doing to shake up the party, then. The same party that gave us those pukes.

I’m voting on illegal immigration. That’s why I support Trump. I hope he’ll do what he says. That’s better than I get from any other candidate.

They are afraid of real men. Men who can DO things. Actually DO them. Donald Trump can build a house and has, as a young man, every task involved, foundation to rooftop. He can probably just about do that with a skyscraper. Time for a DOER. Not another professional politician feeding off the teat of the taxpayer, getting rich by stealing from us and selling influence for money.

WHAT has ANY ONE of these other professional political class oligarchs actually DONE? (I agree Rand and Carson actually have DONE things---but Cruz, Bush, Rubio? LOL!!!!!!)

Cruznadians going back to Canada.

Trumpfornicators go back to New York!

Gee it is so easy to do things Trump style. Just make up an asinine insult and fling it out there.

Thank you for your post. It’s sad to see the support for a long-time enemy of conservatives. serial adulterer, and strip club owner. Anyone who thinks a Trump presidency ends with a border wall and good things has drunk a lot of poison Kool-Aid.

>>Politically Correct speech codes are as big an evil as abortion, as big as illegal immigration, as big as the national debit. If you do not realize this you are simply ignorant of the damage caused by allowing the left to control the vocabulary. Trump’s profanity is part of tearing that down. The left likes to swear at conservatives but don’t like to be sworn at. Trump is the only one running on this conservative issue. The left hide behind public politeness.<<

YES!! Political correctness is a WMD of progressives. If you cannot speak without risking consequences (on the job, for example) you are not free.

Being polite at all times while stabbing political opponents in the back is a core tenet of Fabian socialism.

Trump is telling people by his actions. To sit around and never say a word like “Pussy” in public, or never call for the ban on Muslims, would be less than worthless. Such cowardice would be capitulating to the very thing you are fighting against.
