Trump Change: The Donald Takes A Fall
Rasmussen Reports ^ | Feb. 5, 2016 | Rasmussen Reports

Posted on 02/06/2016 12:18:54 AM PST by SatinDoll

Donald Trump insists his second-place showing in Monday’s Iowa caucus isn’t bad, but perception among his fellow Republicans that he will be the party’s presidential nominee has fallen sharply this week.

Rasmussen Reports’ latest weekly Trump Change survey finds that most Likely Republican Voters (61%) still believe Trump is likely to be the GOP nominee, but that’s down from a high of 74% a week ago. Even more noticeably, the overall finding includes only 24% who think Trump is Very Likely to win the nomination, down from a high of 40% two weeks ago.

Thirty-six percent (36%) say Trump is unlikely to be the eventual nominee, with 14% who say it’s Not At All Likely. This compares to 22% and six percent (6%) respectively a week ago. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

This marks the lowest level of confidence among Republicans in Trump’s nomination since mid-November before the terrorist attacks in Paris. Following that incident, belief in Trump as the likely nominee climbed into the 60s and has steadily increased since then.

When Trump announced his candidacy in mid-June of last year, however, just 27% of Republicans – and 23% of all voters – said he was likely to end up as the 2016 GOP nominee.

Among all likely voters, 52% think Trump will win the Republican nomination this year, down from 63% last week, the highest level of expectation since Rasmussen Reports began the weekly Trump Change survey last August...

Trump is up in all the other states. In Iowa he lost by a few thousand votes in a state that really does not matter except to people from Iowa. Trump certainly is not the best person for president but he does not hate the country like the democrats do and I do hope he does not become a democrat lite when in office.

This is exactly what I said 2 months ago; Trump was running on “winning” and when he doesn’t win Iowa everything will change.

The perception of him being in the lead will vaporize.

Some of Trump’s more rabid supporters are turning potential voters and even current supporters away.

some of Trump's more rabid supporters are on FR. And yes, they have turned my stomach to Trump. Rational discussion and thoughtful discourse can go along way to making ones point. The supporters are taking thier que from their rabid leader. I guess that means the rest of us are all fat and stupid.

this election needs an Astrix next to Cruz's name explaining the situation that occurred that night.

I really would like to know how the election would have gone with the Cruz situation.

Give it a rest you are fixated on a insignificant false fact, there has been many post that a Carson Campaign manger leaked it to Cruz who just repeated it. Try a FR search.

Trump has never held elective office, but he is a career politician. People are waking up to the fact that Trump is part of the Establishment Left.

He said, "I was part of the Establishment." And he has held every Leftist position at one time or other.

So there's that.

But what seems to have finally turned people off is his incessant whining.

I highly recommend you check out what your kids are being brainwashed with in the public schools via Common Core before you comment about how kids are speaking or acting.

Now, is Trump or is Trump not a politician? I say he is. He is running for elective office and not for the first time, either. He's a politician by definition.

Is he a good politician? I say not. I think there is plenty of evidence to support this, you may disagree and you are free to.

Logical. Concise. Airtight.

But.....

Because, Trump has electrolytes.

Read Trump Change over again. He is still up there and the majority of Republicans expect him to be the nominee come this summer.

Why else would they try to assassinate him?

The Republican Party is starting to pounce and also push a candidate I don’t like. Then they send me a request to make a donation.

When Trump talks about winning, he is talking about our country winning,
not him personally.

We lost Vietnam.
We lost Iraq.
We lost Syria.
We lost Afghanistan.
We lost Yemen.
We lost Libya.
We lost to Iran on nuclear bomb.
We lost $150 Billion to Iran deal
We lost to Osama on 911.
We lost in Benghazi.
We lost to terrorists in San Bernardino.
We lose to S.Korea, Germany, Saudi Arabia EVERY YEAR
by providing military protection and get paid nothing.
We lose $505 Billion to China every year.
We lose $75 Billion to Japan every year.
We lose $50 Billion to Mexico every year.
We lose another $250 Billion to other countries every year.

We lose on Illegals flooding in.
We lose on no border wall.
We lose on Obamacare.
We lose on Omnibus bill passing with everything Obama wanted.
We lose on national debt limits getting jacked up every year.
We lose on increasing national debt a Trillion $$ every year.
We lose on preventing Medicare to go broke in 7-8 years.
We lose on Social Security going broke in 12-15 years.

We lose on de-funding Planned Parenthood.
We lose on preventing abortions.
We lose on preventing election fraud.
We lose on 25% fraudulent Medicare claims.
We lose on paying social security to immigrants
who never worked in USA.
We lose on providing welfare to illegals.
We lose on giving tuition subsidy to anchor babies.
We lose on giving welfare to parents of anchor babies.
We lose on spending the most per pupil on education and rank 25th in the world.
We lose by spending much more on healthcare per person
and have lower life expectancy than Canada, and almost ALL European countries.

Above is just a partial list of items we lose on year after year.
That is where Trump wants to start winning.
