Ted Cruz’s Surge in Polls Angers Rubio Supporters
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | November 25, 2015 | Javier Manjarres

He has been called a “Whacko Bird” by Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and other establishment Republicans in the U.S. Senate. He has been called an “extremist” and a Tea Party Republican that likes to hang out on the far right fringe of the GOP.

Detractors, especially those who support his amigo in the Senate, Senator Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) , make fun of his voice and appearance, as well as how he delivers his message.

Haters from the Rubio camp and those Democratic Party talking points-spewing armchair quarterbacks, who think they can accurately foretell the future when it comes to the 2016 Republican presidential primary race, have better come to terms with the fact that Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is very much “electable.”(continued)

yeah, but that might not actually be a bad thing for Bush at this point. Might give him a better chance of holding on to his 5.5%.

Bush's greatest achievement this campaign has been building 2% support that appears to be holding. Problem being he started at 18%.

Marco Rubio, Don Quixote of the New Latin American Century

Image from Gustave Dore:- Miguel de Cervantes - Don Quixote - Part 1 - Chapter 1 - Plate 1 -- "A world of disorderly notions, picked out of his books, crowded into his imagination."

Marco Rubio listens to his dreams alright.  And they are fantastic dreams: of becoming President of the United States with almost zero experience in the world of business -- or even government.  And, now he says he will quit the Senate if he doesn't get elected President.  How's that for perseverance and dedication!

H. L. Mencken, the terror of Baltimore, wrote an epitaph about William James Bryan, the Democrat demagogue of the early 20th century.  His description of Bryan strikes home:

"But what of his life?  Did he accomplish any useful thing?  Was he, in his day, of any dignity as a man, and of any value to his fellow-men?  I doubt it.  Bryan, at his best, was simply a magnificent job-seeker.  The issues that he bawled about usually meant nothing to him.  He was ready to abandon them whenever he could make votes by doing so, and to take up new ones at a moment's notice."

"For years he evaded Prohibition as dangerous; then he embraced it as profitable.  At the Democratic National Convention last year he was on both sides, and distrusted by both.  In his last great battle there was only a baleful and ridiculous malignancy.  If he was pathetic, he was also disgusting."

"...The job before democracy is to get rid of such canaille.  If it fails, they will devour it."

H.L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun, July 27, 1925

H. L. Mencken sounds like a very smart man, thanks for posting that. Since I am trying not to alienate voters I'll just leave it at that for now.

I received an email last night from my mother-in-law. They had been leaning somewhat toward Trump, but were undecided.

They’re spending some time at Myrtle Beach, and a week or so ago, they heard Cruz speak at Florence Baptist Temple in SC. MIL said, “We’ve come around to your way of thinking; we’re all in for Cruz.” She said he was amazing, that everything he said resonated, and he is definitely the man we need in the White House. She also said they donated to him.

I’m excited to have my inlaws aboard the Cruz train. My FIL is a business leader in the community, and I guarantee that both of them will be doing all they can to support Cruz. My husband and I figure it’s up to us to educate them about their new candidate, so to start with, we’ve ordered them a copy of Ted’s book.

“I relish the thought of this SOB having to call Ted Cruz “Mr. President””

I relish the thought of ME, GETTING to call Ted Cruz “Mr. President.”

Cruz is not remotely Reagan.. Reagan was a person who could disarm anyone with his charm. Cruz does not remotely possess this trait.

That is not what the press said back then. From what I have seen Cruz does handle himself well.

Who’s talking about the press? I’m talking about anyone who met the guy. Cruz is not remotely Reagan in terms of persona or temperament. Nothing against Cruz but he’s no Reagan.

The biggest problem the GOPe has is that the only establishment candidate with the it factor is Chrsitie who is DOA. The only other candidate on both sides of the aisle is Trump and that, combined with an abject anger and distrust of the political class is why Trump is winning.
