Republicans' Donald Trump problem just got worse
Vox ^ | July 27, 2015 | Jonathan Allen

Donald Trump was supposed to flame out fast. Instead, he's burning ever hotter in the first contests of the 2016 Republican presidential primary.

The real estate mogul and reality TV star has a seven-point lead over his nearest competitor in New Hampshire, and he's breathing down the neck of longtime Iowa caucuses leader Scott Walker, according to two NBC-Marist University polls released Sunday morning.

It's still very early in the 2016 campaign, and the first Republican debate on Aug. 6 in Cleveland could shake up the race, but Trump's surprising success suggests he will continue to be a significant force in the GOP primary.

“The Democrats pretty much have the monopoly on the “Low Information” vote. But Trump, because of his celebrity, can actually get a significant percentage of that vote. And the Rats need at least 90% of the Low-Info vote to win national elections.”

Pretty close...it’s the lower-information younger white voters that cause Trump to scare the crap out of the Democrats. The people that voted for Obama to “end racial strife” but instead are being treated to MTV lecturing them on “White Privilege”; Starbucks wanting to have a “Conversation about Race”; O’Malley literally having to apologize for saying that “all lives matter”, not just black lives (I still cannot believe that happened); and, of course, a President that had done all that he can to fire-up blacks to start a RACE WAR in this country, but thankfully blacks haven’t (yet) taken the bait.

Those whites be VERY HARD for the Democrats to hold on to, providing Trump gives them a reason for feeling ASHAMED FOR being born white - and that is what he is doing, at least so far.

What Trump has going for him which is huge is that he is underestimated. I hope they continue to not take him seriously. As long as this attitude lasts he will eat their lunch because Trump is also a world class manager.

I saw interviews with his chief of staff and his special counsel Michael Cohen. These people are very disciplined. They are ferocious like Trump and they defend their boss at any cost. You can tell the one thing in these people’s minds is that they play to win. It is obvious that the Trump team is a juggernaut.

Americans want to win. They have lost for the lest 30 years. They want to win and Trump is only interested in winning. He could care less about political correctness or the prissy rules of politics. He wants to win, win, win and Americans are starved for a winner.

People seem to forget that the “you are fired” moniker is the cornerstone of the Trump approach. Either you get results or you are out. His campaign is run this way. Trump wants results first and if they are not forthcoming someone else takes over.

So far it looks like the whole Trump campaign is run on results and performance. This is an approach no one knows how to get except Trump. You notice even in the press interviews of Trump they just let him say pretty much anything he wants and they are not challenging him that much. The press is letting him just do infomercials on their dime.

Amazing!

“Trump called Hillary a criminal in Iowa yesterday.”

I know that! I was just having some fun with him...he does need to keep his list up to date.

“Trump can’t win a second term !”

That is HYSTERICAL. Vote against Trump because Trump will never be re-elected to Second Term!

Another one for the Trump deniers.

Add to that that many were saying Trump was only in this race as a "stalking horse" for Shrillary. Yet he was on national TV today (and in Iowa yesterday) calling Shrillary a criminal and stating that she has no business running for president.

Some stalking horse!

As if Trump, with his massive ego, would allow himself to be used as a tool.

So far, the anti-Trump folks have been proven wrong about everything.

Trump is low-hanging fruit for Democrats, IMHO.

I have heard that Trump's empire includes interests in more than a few golf courses. Who do you suppose does the maintenance on all those greens and fairways? How about all those hotels he has, who changes the sheets? Don't know, but I can guess.

If word was to get out that Trump was employing illegals, he'd be branded a liar and hypocrite and lose the Republican base overnight. He's already lost the Latino vote, legal or otherwise.

It would be easy for the MSM to put a few disgruntled former (illegal) employees on camera, and the feeding frenzy would begin. Trump would go from front runner to single digits overnight.

I only knew Trump before 2015 because of his involvement in golf courses. I distinctly remember watching a 1 hour special on Golf Channel a year or so ago.

It was filming of Trump chairing a meeting of all his resort managers from all over the world.

I was once a member of a corporate board. But I have never seen a CEO as effective as Trump. He was a master at exhorting his subordinates to achieve their best, without sounding dictatorial or bossy.

You can’t hide the respect and admiration those 100 or so managers were showing Trump throughout that meeting. This guy is no dummy.

The Party’s worst fears are that Trump has the money to finance his presidential campaign so there will not be any hundreds of millions of dollars of contributions to share with the candidate. (IMO.)

I think it is also a fear of Trump not going along with the good ‘ole boy’s club and exposing their taking republican voters for granted.

Reminded me of this:

Patton: Men, all this stuff you’ve heard about America not wanting to fight, wanting to stay out of the war, is a lot of horse dung. Americans traditionally love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle. When you were kids, you all admired the champion marble shooter, the fastest runner, big league ball players, the toughest boxers. Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. Americans play to win all the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why Americans have never lost, and will never lose a war... because the very thought of losing is hateful to Americans.

Peace Love and Soul Train may very well have worn out its welcome.

I've been wrong many times before.

Trumps's not my choice for POTUS but he's better than most.

Not saying that the Donald is involved in anything illegal, merely that he's vulnerable because of his stance on immigration and the enterprises he's invested in. If a former employee (even a Dem plant) claimed he was exploited by Trump enterprises, I think most people would tend to believe it.

And Trump can reach out to the “Reagan Democrats” like no other Republican candidate can.
