Ted Cruz and Karl Rove spar over a passage in Cruz’s book
The Washington Post's Post Politics ^ | June 28, 2015 | Katie Zezima

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) and Karl Rove are at odds -- over a description of what happened when former president George H.W. Bush donated to Cruz's campaign for attorney general of Texas in 2009.

Rove is lashing out against assertions Cruz makes in his book, "A Time for Truth." Cruz writes that he went to see Bush in Maine and the meeting went well -- so well that Bush let Cruz borrow clothes and a belt buckle that said "President of the United States," and handed him a campaign donation check for $1,000. Cruz was invited to Maine by the son of one of his current rivals for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, Jeb Bush.

Cruz writes that Rove said the elder Bush "was too old to have good judgment anymore" and demanded that Cruz return the check. Cruz wrote that Rove implied that if he made George H.W. Bush's donation public, George W. Bush would "endorse my opponent and come out publicly for him."(continued)

If we conservatives do nothing else in the next election cycle, we need to put the GOPe and Karl Rove out of business!

In the process of electing a conservative, we really ought to be able to do that, don’t you think?

Ted Cruz - attorney general?

Sounds like someone is confused. Is Rove getting senile?

Did you see this part? Is Ted Cruz good at playing chess?

On Sunday night, Cruz's campaign released what it said are e-mails between Rove and Cruz.

Kristin Davison, Rove's chief of staff, said she cannot confirm an e-mail the Cruz campaign said is from Rove that says distress over the donation would have come not from Rove or George W. Bush, but people raising money for George W. Bush's presidential library. Davison said Rove has no record of the e-mail in his archive or any recollection of it. She said Rove has records of the two other e-mails.

Ted Cruz - attorney general?

Ted Cruz ran for the position before then-Attorney General Greg Abbott (present TX Governor) decided to seek reelection. So he dropped out.

“Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) and Karl Rove are at odds”

Really?

If they weren’t, then something would be wrong with Ted Cruz.

I have suspected for some time that Rove is a covert convert to the democRATs. The vicious stands he has taken against republican candidates damaged his credibility at first. Now it seems more like he is secretly working for the democrat party. Just my opinion.
