McCain lost WH race because Sarah Palin didn't take MY advice on the economy, says Carly Fiorina
The London Daily Mail ^ | May 5, 2015 | Francesca Chambers

Posted on 05/06/2015 6:57:19 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

* Fiorina claims in Rising to the Challenge that John McCain asked her to help Palin 'get up to speed on the economic issues facing the country'
* 'I never did get the chance to fulfill Senator McCain's request ... although I made numerous requests to meet with her during the campaign'
* To this day Fiorina, a contender for the 2016 GOP nomination, says she still hasn't met the Tea Party superstar
* Palin endorsed Fiorina in 2010 when she was competing in the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate in California, but it was via Facebook
* A spokeswoman for Fiorina's presidential campaign told Daily Mail Online in an email after this article was published that the candidate 'was simply making the point that during the 2008 election she didn't meet Gov. Palin'

The 2008 presidential campaign may have turned out differently for the Republican Party if Sarah Palin and John McCain hadn't blown off her advice, Carly Fiorina suggests in her new book, released this morning.

Former Hewlett Packard executive Fiorina reveals in her memoir, Rising to the Challenge, that then-Republican presidential nominee McCain asked her to help Palin 'get up to speed on the economic issues facing the country' but Palin wasn't interested in her counsel.

Fiorina, a contender for the 2016 GOP nomination, says she still hasn't met the Tea Party superstar even though Palin endorsed her in 2010 when she was competing in the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate in California.

A surrogate for McCain in 2008 and a member of his inner circle, Fiorina claims in her memoir that two days before the Arizona senator made public his surprising pick for vice president, he called her on the phone and asked her to advise Palin....

BUMP!

I’m not voting for Carly, but I read the article and the writer is a d-bag. She (Carly) had nothing but praise for Palin and seems to only mention that she never met her in person though she tried to. If I remember the last election cycle, a lot of Palin people wanted to jump on Bachmann for claiming she was closer to Palin than she was. The author is trying to stir something up that isn’t there.

There is nothing there, Carly isn't even close to my candidate, but anyone who doesn't know she is going to be a GREAT help against the hildabeast (or any other fraud the DNCe puts up) for Cruz is simply not looking at the long game.

There is zero reason she's going to be a threat to Cruz (or Walker), she's not going to win, but zero reason for us to attack her.

"Carly, I want to enjoy your candidacy for how ever long it lasts. I like when you tell people like Katie Couric to stfu, but bringing Sarah Palin into the discussion, saying you were trying to school her? No. Don’t go there. Your going to lose our favor before we hear your stump speech. You must not know what Sarah means to us. Do your homework Babydoll!"

Did you read the article? Fiorina didn't say she was trying to "school" Palin. The writer is being misleading and trying to start crap. In her book, Fiorina said the McCain campaign called her and said Sarah would need help getting up to speed on some economic issues and asked if Fiorina would help. What's wrong with that?

Apparently Sarah said no and Fiorina said she ended up not meeting her. That's it.

None of us know everything there is to know...there's always stuff we can learn, and I'm pretty sure Sarah would tell you she's no different.

Fascinating thanks I had no idea the media helped nominate McCain Wow🍆. I did notice the horribly biased media " moderation " of the debates and yes yes it was insane for the R's to use or allow such a setup!

Yeah ... IMO, Palin endorsed the WRONG candidate when she endorsed Fiorina.

Cruz to victory.

Fiorina just exposed her real reason for entering the race and that’s to pre-emptively campaign against our beloved Sarah.

Carly is now dead to me.

Carly Fiorina is a member of John McCain’s inner circle??? I’m hearing the “death knell” for the Fiorina campaign. You do NOT diss Sarah Palin in any shape, form or fashion and expect to get to first base in the GOP Primary. To me, Fiorina comes across as a snobby b**ch anyhow.

Two strikes for Carly:

1. She’s a member of John McCain’s inner circle.

2. She dissed Sarah Palin

3. And I’m calling strike 3 because she’s a loser.

Hit the road skank.

John McCain didn’t cost us the house and the Senate. That was America repudiating George Bush. It’s sad but true. And now Jeb wants to take all that George Bush baggage with him on the Campaign trail as if it won’t even be an issue now that we have recovered from the damage that his brother did. Right. I’m sure America has forgotten all about the failed Iraq war and the financial collapse.

It should be noted that for literally four years leading up to the 2008 primary election, the MSM was pushing McCain in virtually every news article calling him the "Maverick John McCain". The go to guy whenever they wanted someone in the GOP to criticize the Bush administration..

Once he lost the election, there was never again a mention of "Maverick John McCain".

The same can be said about Dick Cheney and the Uber Evil Haliburton. For literally eight years all we heard about was the evil of Haliburton and once Bush and Cheney left office, the evil Haliburton has never been mentioned again but yet they're still doing the alleged evil stuff the MSM has for some reason demonized them for doing...........

Sarah Palin was woefully unprepared to face tough interviews in 2008. Her interviews with Perky Katie and ABC News were disasters.

Sarah Palin was woefully unprepared to face tough interviews in 2008. Her interviews with Perky Katie and ABC News were disasters. It was a blunder by McCain campaign to throw her out there. McCain is a hog for face time on TV. So he must have figured Sarah should never refuse any TV face time either.

But the real reason McCain lost was stark contrast with Obama.
McCain was old, pudgy, short and face disfigured by tumors.
Obama was young, thin, tall & country was eager to prove this is not a racist country.
