Third Party Rumblings After GOP Squanders Election Landslide with Budget Deal

I have traveled to 3 dozen countries as an observer on vacations. There is ONE simple solution to problems in USA. In reality this solution will not happen here. That is unfortunate. However if adopted, the prosperity created will reach the moon.

The solution is simple. Eliminate ALL welfare for able bodied people over 18 and under 66. No food stamps, no unemployment, no rent subsidies, no free telephones, no free contraceptives, etc etc etc. The huge amounts of money saved can be used to payoff debt and build world class infra structure. Seniors can get subsidized housing and healthcare. Working age people pay for their own healthcare.

There is one country doing exactly that. There is so many excess jobs, they import foreign workers. 40% of work force is foreign on 2 year work visa’s. The infra structure makes ours look like a 3rd world country. It is a multicultural population of Chinese, Indians and Arabs. Not many jails are needed because crime is non-existent. Foreign criminals are promptly deported never allowed to return. Citizen criminals are handed harsh punishment so there is incentive to stay out of trouble. No one is starving in spite of no food stamp program. Everyone finds jobs because otherwise they will starve. College education to citizens is subsidized. Laws favor businesses. Hi-Tech industry of every kind is flourishing.

Admittedly it is a small country with total population of 5 million. But I came away hugely impressed after observing life in Singapore. Every 6th Singapore citizen is a millionaire.

I have lived a total of 22 years overseas in nine different countries including 13 years in Europe in five countries. Your ONE simple solution is indeed simple. As you recognize, it won't happen here or in Europe.

The money "saved" belongs to the taxpayers. It is their money and they should decide how it is spent. Paying off the debt won't help the economy or create jobs. Two thirds of the budget is spent on entitlement programs and other mandatory items. We are not going to eliminate SS, Medicare or Medicaid. They will be bankrupt the country if not reformed, but they will not be eliminated.

My daughter was born in Singapore. I am familiar with their economy. It is not as rosy a picture as you paint it. It is a well-run, disciplined society, but it has problems related to its diversity and importation of foreign workers. Singapore’s Foreigner Problem --A sharp rise in the foreign population has ratcheted up racial tensions."

“Where you going to find it?”

The politicians sure as hell aren’t going to give it to you, and more likely they’re going to do what they can to take it from you.

But a more direct answer to your question: you find it inside yourself. Someone who has made the firm decision to be free is going to find a way to do it. And will find the necessary associates and strategies to do so. Nobody else is going to free you: you gotta do it for yourself.
