Mississippi pastor Stevie Fielder says he was paid by Mississippi state Sen. Chris McDaniel's (R) campaign to give an interview to a conservative blogger in which he said Sen. Thad Cochran's (R-Miss.) campaign had asked him to pay people to vote for Cochran.
Fielder told conservative blogger Charles Johnson that he had been asked by a Cochran staffer to pay African-American Democrats $15 to vote for Cochran in his hard-fought primary. He's now under investigation.
Johnson has said he paid Fielder $2,000 for the interview and related texts and emails, and is now reportedly facing a subpoena from the state attorney general.
But Fielder told Mississippi Public Broadcasting that it was McDaniel's campaign spokesman, Noel Fritsch, that paid him.

Apparently you have paid zero attention to this situation. The Cochran campaign lost among republicans and instead ran a racist campaign against conservatives to get inner city democrats to vote. Setting back our goals and beliefs is not attracting new voters. It’s the polar opposite.
Agreed! The GOPe need to learn that they can’t steal elections!
Really? Since I live and vote in Mississippi and am also an elected official I pay a lot of attention. You might be better served by paying attention to Charlie Crist.
You’re shilling for a liar, a fraud, a cheater and senile barnyard humping Democrat, Thad the Cad, who stole the Republican nomination from the rightful and actual winner.
GO MCDANIEL !
That’s real cute. Kinda like your tag line, “Resist we much.”
You’re an elected official ? What’s your name ? I think your constituents would be very interested in knowing you wholeheartedly approve of DECEIT and VOTER FRAUD by your “leaders” Thad the Cad and Boss Haley, engaging in open collusion and payoffs to Democrat voters to interfere in a Republican Primary, in other words: STEALING elections.
Identify yourself, sir, and be shamed for what you stand for and approve of as an elected official !
They teach you how to cheat in Virginia, right near that cesspool of corruption, DC ? You ought to be ashamed of yourself !
Nutcase, I don’t answer to you, thankfully. Have you been in touch with McDaniel? He may have a place for you in Washington. In his dreams.
Name calling of people of honor because you have NONE.
Consider yourself called out. You stand by fraud and corruption, sir. Your constituents need to know about you. Name yourself, if you have a shred of character.
Name calling? Indeed. “Youre shilling for a liar, a fraud, a cheater and senile barnyard humping Democrat, “
Have a nice day if that is possible.
Facts, sir. I state facts and you squeal like a stuck pig. Stuff your nice day, sir.
You need to name yourself, sir. I think your constituents would be interested in knowing you approve of voter fraud and deceit and attack those who refuse to support your CHEATING candidate, Thad the Cad !
How dare you come on this Conservative website and shill for your office-stealing fraud ! Shame on YOU !
Am I the only one who is noticing that a PASTOR, a man of the bible, admits that he was paid to lie?
Wonder what his congregation has to say about that?
Lying is fine with them if it mean keeping out a conservative.
Lets see, the good minister either lies for money, sells votes for money or plays white boys for fools.
Probably all three.
I thought we were through and you still make a fool of yourself. I didn’t just come on this website, as you can see for yourself. I also didn’t give up my right to have my own opinion, not just opinions that are approved by others. It is called free speech.
Are you comfortable with the tactics used in the runoff, then? I am not, and would not support Cochran in the general because of it.
We have Crist under control. Scott has the edge, and has successfully painted Crist as the shady opportunist he is. Most were worried here because Scott was down so far, but he has done all the right things and started early and relentlessly hammering Crist. One of the nice things in this race, is that despite Scott being less than popular, the state party and all of our elected Republicans are strongly united in disgust of Crist from his 2010 antics. I think the only way Crist wins is if Florida is truly trending into blue state territory. The Obama wins are the exception to everything else going on in the state.
Reading this poorly written report is one thing, deciphering it is quite the other.
So are you defending Barbour’s involvement or tactics?
And the VERY FIRST rule of a successful campaign is "don't piss all over your base."
If Cochran loses, he deserves every bit of it.
Don’t be lumping all conservatives in with the “Let’s teach the GOP a lesson” purist crowd.
Anyone who can not clearly see that the dems keeping the Senate is a danger to America, is cutting off their nose to spite their face. ANY GOP majority will be night and day better than any dem majority! Yes and even with a shitehead like Cochran.
I hope republicans will hold the seat and take the senate. A democrat senator would vote for Reid as majority leader to implement obama's policies. I don't want that and I will support a republican against a democrat. There are no democrats in the senate who oppose Obama.
