“I guess Himmler didn’t read to the end...Haman was hanged.”.
__

He blamed the Jews for that, he called Esther a “pros...ue” I omitted that line from the article.

Interesting how some of the fiends bent on Jewish extermination have 2 syllable names starting with H. Haman,Hitler, Himmler, Heydrich.

My Revolutionary War ancestor served in the Virginia militia and was at Yorktown serving under a man named Haman Critz. Why a presumably Christian family would name their son Haman, I have no idea. Perhaps they opened the Bible and chose the first name they saw without reading the surrounding narrative.

“I guess Himmler didn’t read to the end...Haman was hanged.”.

Quite a number of high level Nazis suffered the same fate. But they didn't get a fancy gallows 50 cubits high. They got a makeshift one in a gymnasium in Nuremberg prison with a trapdoor small enough that some of them banged up their faces on the way down.

Indeed, if Master Sergeant John C. Woods bungled the hangings on purpose, it was certainly much less than they deserved.

Julius Streicher, in particular, got a lesson in why you shouldn't insult your hangman.

This year Purim is celebrated a week from tomorrow, Thursday, March 17,
the same day as Saint Patrick's Day. Coincidence? I think not …

Hamantaschen and Guinness. Mmmm.

In Asia a not uncommon name for a boy is Rommel. I’ve met two or three Romel Chan/Wan/Ho/Chou’s
