Quite a number of high level Nazis suffered the same fate. But they didn't get a fancy gallows 50 cubits high. They got a makeshift one in a gymnasium in Nuremberg prison with a trapdoor small enough that some of them banged up their faces on the way down.
Sadly not before they succeeded in erasing a third of a people and other masses of victims too.
Some slowly died. I think the hangman did it on purpose
