The pastors (Baptist) we had in California would be proud to lose their jobs for that reason. Their congregations wouldn’t be the ones to oust them, though; congregations would have provided 100% support. The government, though ... that’s another story.

This sick church doesn’t yet realize it, but doing this will NOT appease the deviant reprobates. In fact, it enrages them all the more.
That was the conclusion my friends and I came to, rather quickly in fact. (see post 8)
So.....presumably this church has a board of elders who think homosexuality is OK and they fired the pastor?
Or did he quit because he could not take the heat in the kitchen? If the latter he probably should choose another line of work.

That’s not true according to Scripture. Didn’t Christ say that lusting in one’s heart is a sin? So action isn’t necessary for sin to take place. Lustful thoughts would still need to be repented of.

What did He mean by "Lusting in one's heart"? If I see a girl and notice she's attractive, have I lusted? Or does it mean more like fantasizing about bedding her?

Actually it does. Wanting a same sex person to commit a sex act on you is a sin. That makes you homo/bisexual.
To put it crudely:
A guy sucking a guy does not make him gay. If it was that or his child dies, he could do it and not be gay. He doesn’t have to be aroused to do it.
A guy wanting a guy to suck him makes him gay because he has to get aroused to do it.
Trust me, there are a lot of guys who want a guy to do them who swear they are not gay. In reality, it’s the exact opposite. They are gay for wanting it to be done.
There is a difference between being attracted to women and wanting to have an affair. The mere thought makes you guilty
It was an admittedly small church, with only a couple dozen members, making it a prime target for the Gaystapo. All they had to do was peel away a few members to make a significant dent in the congregation. And every church has a few apostates in it.
