Certainly explains how the West switched from colonizing the Third World to importing Third World populations. When you read of the incentives these “do-gooders” dangle in front of women in poor countries to get sterilized, you see pure evil at work.

I attach it to every thread I run into that deals with the subject. If a young person reads that and digests it and reads Henry Hazlitt's Economics in One Lesson he has a good grounding in something I like to call Scientific Morality.

I do not think a well-informed and accurately reasoning person could disagree, but most of our friends in this neighborhood are neither richly informed not particularly rational on the subject of sex, marriage,and cionrtaception.

Try it yourself. Get a guesstimate of what percentage of FReepers think contraception is either intrinsically wrong for moral reasons, or to be rejected for public-political, socio-medical, or other consequentialist reasons.

You will find, I think, that the overwhelming preponderance of FReepers see nothing whatsoever "wrong" with contraception, or see it as an obvious universal good, right up there with soap and cotton underwear.

I didn’t follow your link, but from previous reading I recall that even Prager, wise though he is, fails to really think it through and come out against contraception.

I would agree that probably most freepers support contraception without fully understanding that it influenced all the disasters of the sexual revolution - including abortion as a form of contraception. I was thinking that, in general, they recognize that the revolution was a disaster.

Yes, and yes. Not well thought through.

Even FReepers who express hocking-and-spitting disgust or disdain at gay sex, often have no problem which straight men acting the exact same way with women, e.g. random lust, porn, sodomy and promiscuity.

After the "ick" factor recedes, they won't have any problem with LGBTHIVSTD, either --- no problem that a condom won't fix.
