The pope has to know what he’s doing. He is not incompetent. Therefore he is responsible for the damage he is causing.
Did he really say that what he says is more important than what the Bible teaches?
Ph.D from a well-known Jesuit university here. My major professor, who guided me through my doctoral studies, and who was a staunch defender of RCC doctrine, was later accused of inappropriate sexual contact with a seminarian. I am still trying to process it.
He makes me want to leave. I just can’t bring myself to do it.

Christian faith is more than good will and kind intentions. Conscience is more than our personally sincere opinions. A healthy conscience needs a strong formation in the commonly held truths of the Catholic community. Without it, conscience can very quickly turn into an alibi machine. The world is a complicated place. It requires sound Catholic reasoning skills rooted in the teaching of the Church.

Or ‘is the Pope Catholic? uh maybe not. Is the Pope Christian? definitely not
