Martin Luther to be canonized

As part of the celebrations of the Reformation, and to mark his excellent relations with the Lutherans - "After all, they're far more Catholic than the German cardinals Kasper, Marx, and their cronies" - Pope Francis has agreed to canonize Martin Luther himself.

And that is the terrifying aspect of this. When it comes to the Vatican, satire has lost its incredibility.

This morning at church, I joked about this with a couple of friends.

I Googled the “joke”, and found out someone else had beat me to it by two weeks.

But does ANYONE want to bet against me that Franky would NOT pull a stunt like this?

We were both ALC and LCA when I was growing up, as we moved a lot, but I attended a Missouri Synod parochial school for 8th grade. I was adopted through Lutheran Social Services, as was my sister.
