Does anyone really care?
HIGH Up in the North in the land called Svithjod, there stands a rock. It is a hundred miles high and a hundred miles wide. Once every thousand years a little bird comes to this rock to sharpen its beak.
When the rock has thus been worn away, then a single day of eternity will have gone by.

Good piece. I'm chewing on the same issues.
Read Thomas of Aquinas. Time is the numbering of movement. The assigning of numbers to motion.
Everything is in motion, having received its impetus from another object; all motion can be traced back to the Prime Mover, God, who exists outside the time continuum.
What the contemporary world needs is a return to the teachings of St. Thomas of Aquinas
Good Article.
`Time seems to accelerate as we age.....My first 9 years of employment took forever. The past 9 years of retirement have gone by in the blink of an eye.......

Turn! Turn! Turn!
To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep
To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones
A time to gather stones together
To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time of war, a time of peace
A time of love, a time of hate
A time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing
To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sow
A time to love, a time to hate
A time of peace, I swear it’s not too late!

This what the first song is that comes to mind when thinking about ‘time’....

Time has come today
Time has come today
Young hearts can go their way
Can’t put it off another day
I don’t care what others say
They say we don’t listen anyway
Time has come today
(Hey)
Oh
The rules have changed today (Hey)
I have no place to stay (Hey)
I’m thinking about the subway (Hey)
My love has flown away (Hey)
My tears have come and gone (Hey)
Oh my Lord, I have to roam (Hey)
I have no home (Hey)
I have no home (Hey)
Now the time has come (Time)
There’s no place to run (Time)
I might get burned up by the sun (Time)
But I had my fun (Time)
I’ve been loved and put aside (Time)
I’ve been crushed by the tumbling tide (Time)
And my soul has been psychedelicized (Time)
(Time)
Now the time has come (Time)
There are things to realize (Time)
Time has come today (Time)
Time has come today (Time)
Time [x11]
Oh
Now the time has come (Time)
There’s no place to run (Time)
I might get burned up by the sun (Time)
But I had my fun (Time)
I’ve been loved and put aside (Time)
I’ve been crushed by tumbling tide (Time)
And my soul has been psychedelicized (Time)
(Time)
Now the time has come (Time)
There are things to realize (Time)
Time has come today (Time)
Time has come today (Time)
Time [x4]
Yeah
Time is the School in which we Learn
Time is the Fire in which we Burn
Time is the difference twixt now and then.
“Time was invented so that everything didn’t happen at once.’’ Albert Einstein.
Time doesn’t matter to me. One of my favorite songs.
The late, great Yogi Berra, one of the notable people we lost last year, had the answer to this.
“Hey, Yogi, what time is it?”
“You mean now?”
